00:03 and it allegedly hit and injured a concertgoer.
00:05 During his performance at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on August 30th,
00:09 the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson,
00:11 seemed to have technical issues with two different microphones,
00:14 as seen in video taken at the event,
00:16 and apparently frustrated 50 through one of the mics.
00:19 While the video didn't capture where the mic ended up,
00:21 TMZ reports that a woman was allegedly struck by the object
00:24 and that she filed a police report that night.
00:26 Law enforcement sources reportedly told the outlet
00:28 that the alleged victim claimed that the inda club rapper looked at her
00:31 before throwing the mic.
00:32 However, 50's attorney Scott Lehman told NBC News in a statement,
00:35 "Let's be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon,
00:39 my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone.
00:42 Anyone saying something different doesn't have all the facts and is misinformed."
00:46 According to TMZ, the concertgoer went to the hospital,
00:48 and the publication and the Neighborhood Talk Instagram page
00:51 both shared photos of the alleged victim with an apparent laceration on her forehead.
00:55 Access Hollywood has reached out to her for comment.
00:57 Law enforcement did not provide details on the alleged incident report
01:00 when contacted by Access Hollywood.
01:02 A media spokesperson for the department told NBC News
01:04 that police units did not respond to the arena on the night of the show.
01:07 The incident comes one month after another music artist threw a microphone while on stage.
01:12 In July, Cardi B made headlines when someone appeared to throw a drink at her mid-song
01:16 during a performance in Las Vegas.
01:17 The "Bodak Yellow" rapper quickly reacted by throwing her microphone at the audience.
01:21 A concertgoer later filed a police report for battery
01:24 with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
01:26 NBC News confirmed at the time.
01:28 Days later, police told Access Hollywood
01:30 that the hip-hop superstar would not be charged in the incident.
01:32 Their statement read,
01:33 "After a thorough review of this case
01:35 and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney's Office,
01:38 this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence.
01:41 No charges will be filed in relation to this case."
