00:10 All right, two really good prep days for our guys so far.
00:12 Excited about their temperament and their mood.
00:14 I know they're pumped and excited for this game.
00:16 Really clean.
00:17 We're about to go play a team that's gonna be in a hostile environment,
00:20 which we're excited about.
00:21 So we'll open it up.
00:22 >> How do you feel about the coverage by the linebackers,
00:26 the pass coverage, especially in this week of practice?
00:29 >> I don't think we really got tested this past week.
00:30 I mean, they didn't throw the ball very much.
00:33 But we've done well.
00:34 At times, there was a couple plays that we wish we had back.
00:38 >> You mentioned on Monday wanting to kind of work on jump balls and
00:41 defensive backs in terms of defending that.
00:42 Have you seen progress there in that matchup, I guess, further?
00:45 >> Yeah, we've worked a lot of contested balls.
00:47 I think it's gonna come down to a lot of contested catches in this game.
00:50 We gotta do a good job when it comes to that.
00:51 >> Looks like Jory Ellensman kinda playing that Bradley role.
00:53 The scout team isn't doing that.
00:55 >> Yeah, he's done a good job.
00:56 He's done a good job.
00:56 He's doing his double training.
00:58 He's working his position for us, and he's working that position for them as well.
01:03 >> You guys find anybody to give you a look for
01:04 a dark, they're six foot nine tight end?
01:06 >> Yeah, we haven't found a six foot nine guy yet.
01:08 But again, we'll prepare with the guys we got.
01:11 We got plenty of good players that can help us get ready.
01:12 >> You mentioned the environment, the conditions, weather wise.
01:18 Is this the kind of game where grit is really fat?
01:21 Who is gritty and who has to take a look in the mirror?
01:24 >> Well, this is the kind of game where you can't just show up one game, right?
01:27 This has to be who you are all year, right?
01:29 So we wanna be the same team we've been all year and
01:31 we'll focus on what we're gonna be moving forward, right?
01:33 You are who you put on film, right?
01:34 So no matter if it's this game, the next game, or the game after that,
01:37 who you are has to show up every game.
01:39 Your DNA traits have to show up every game.
01:40 >> How do you feel about tortillas?
01:44 >> I'm a tortilla fan, more of a flour guy than corn.
01:46 >> [LAUGH] >> What's your guys' schedule like over
01:51 the next couple days?
01:52 How are you gonna deal with the heat once you get down there as far as-
01:55 >> Same prep as every week.
01:56 We're focusing on hydrating for our guys.
01:59 Not a lot of changes there.
02:00 >> Do you believe in elevation factors in the conditioning or anything like that?
02:04 >> I think the biggest place it shows up is in the kicking game, so
02:06 there'll be some of that.
02:08 As far as their conditioning, I think our guys are well conditioned.
02:10 We'll see that when we get there to the game.
02:12 But more than anything, it's gonna show up for distances in the kicking game.
02:15 >> Were you coaching that 2013 holiday club?
02:18 Were you still around then?
02:20 >> Yeah, I was.
02:20 >> Yeah, what do you remember from that?
02:22 I realize it was a week later, but what do you remember from that game,
02:24 that match up with them?
02:26 >> They went fast.
02:27 We didn't win the game.
02:28 That's the thing I remember about that game.
02:29 We didn't win it.
02:30 We got hit on a corner cat where a guy hit us on a double move on the X.
02:35 That was tough.
02:36 You wanna win every game you line up for, but I certainly remember that one.
02:38 >> Thank you.
02:42 >> All right, appreciate it.
02:42 >> Appreciate it.
