As is the case in any season opener, Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks will need to ready to audible early if the Los Angeles Rams attempt to throw them a defensive curveball, especially without departed stars such as Jalen Ramsey.

00:00 >> They still have Eric Donald as you mentioned, but Jalen Ramsey is now not
00:03 there and they were using that star position, played all over the place.
00:07 So how much more difficult did that make that looking at their secondary,
00:10 wondering what kind of schemes got their stuff they're gonna do without
00:14 a chess piece like that that can do all the different things?
00:16 >> Yeah, when you look at it, when you watch film,
00:19 when you break down the defense and the D coordinator,
00:22 you just go back to what they've always done.
00:24 You gotta prepare for what you've seen on film.
00:27 They have a bunch of different guys who can fill that role.
00:30 And we have an idea of who will, but they can always put someone else out there.
00:35 So when I'm looking at film, obviously we got preseason tape on them and
00:40 things from last year.
00:41 You kind of just prepare for what you've seen and then expect anything.
00:45 They could call any defense they want, put anybody in any position and
00:49 it's our job to counter that.
00:51 So I'm just preparing for everything and
00:54 if they give us what we see on tape, then we'll be ready for it.
00:57 And if it's something different and we have to adjust, then we will.
