00:00 Taylor Swift dropped her new single "Look What You Made Me Do" along with a preview
00:03 of the music video.
00:04 And already the internet has a lot of reactions.
00:06 Hey, I'm Shira Lazar.
00:08 Welcome back to What's Trending.
00:09 Be sure to like this video and subscribe for more.
00:11 When the single dropped late Thursday night LA time, fans rushed to download it.
00:15 Fans and naysayers.
00:17 Taylor Swift fax announces "Look What You Made Me Do is out.
00:20 This is not a drill.
00:21 Buy it now."
00:22 Hunter Solution tweets "The whole new era is here.
00:24 #TaylorSwiftIsBack #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo"
00:28 Skylar Alexis 14 quotes the song saying "I'm sorry old Taylor can't come to the phone right
00:32 now.
00:33 She's dead.
00:34 I'm dead R&.
00:35 This song is so good."
00:37 And speaking of the old Taylor being dead, it just so happens that her social media accounts
00:40 went dark before this all happened.
00:43 Also it seems from this song Taylor that you might have a lot of trust issues.
00:45 You might want to work through that and then get back to us.
00:47 I mean you can probably afford like the best therapy life coaching there is out there.
00:51 So just do it man.
00:54 We believe in you.
00:55 I want to hear that album like The Awakening instead of like Judgment.
00:59 I believe there's more to you than that Taylor and I want to see it.
01:02 Come on girl.
01:04 I can be hired if you want.
01:05 I'll be your life coach.
01:07 Some folks also noticed that her single sounded very familiar.
01:17 Yes there's a little bit of right side Fred's "I'm too sexy" sampled in "Look What You Made
01:21 Me Do."
01:22 A lot of her fans might not know this song.
01:23 It's from '91.
01:26 So maybe she thought she would get away with it.
01:27 Surprisingly though, right side Fred has a writing credit on the song.
01:31 The group even tweeted out "Thank you @taylorswift13 what a marvelous reinvention #imtosexy"
01:36 So have you listened to "Look What You Made Me Do" her new single?
01:39 Let us know in the comments what you think and we'll be replying to you.
01:42 And now this all makes sense.
01:43 That's the reason why her social media accounts went dark.
01:46 She was reinventing herself.
01:48 She was throwing away the old Taylor for the new one.
01:51 However Taylor, I must say as someone who's going through her own like transformation
01:55 work that using other people as an excuse for what you're doing doesn't work.
02:02 It's not like a long-term sustainable thing.
02:04 You need to figure out why you're doing what you're doing.
02:07 You can't blame it on others.
02:09 Don't play victim Taylor.
02:10 So before this big single release as we mentioned, she basically took down all her social media
02:15 accounts, her website for a reinvention of sorts and also to get a ton of attention.
02:21 And that's when the snake started to appear.
02:23 These mysterious videos of a CGI snake had fans searching for clues about a new album
02:26 and the media too.
02:28 Many fans also thought the snake was in reference to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
02:32 Or perhaps it was in reference to Taylor.
02:35 Maybe she's the snake.
02:36 In anticipation of Taylor's new single, Kim actually blocked all comments featuring the
02:40 snake emoji on her Instagram.
02:42 Which is surprising because like if you don't want to create more attention for your enemy,
02:46 why would you do something like this?
02:48 I mean maybe Kim and Kanye are like part of the deal.
02:52 Like they're just creating a feud for more attention on either side.
02:55 They're in it to win it together.
02:57 After the snake action, Taylor announced her sixth album, Reputation.
03:00 And that was your recap of everything leading up to the big single and a preview of the
03:04 music video for "Look What You Made Me Do."
03:07 Because I'm not taking any responsibility for my actions.
03:10 The full video will premiere at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
03:13 And more bad blood is coming out of this.
03:15 A lot of people are calling out Taylor for ripping off Beyonce's "Lemonade."
03:19 Alyssa Santiago tweets, "I thought this looked familiar.
03:21 Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I guess."
03:24 Marsha Belsky jokes, "My daddy Pennsylvania.
03:26 Mama from Pennsylvania.
03:27 You mix that pencil with a vina.
03:30 I am from Pennsylvania."
03:32 But many people were quick to defend Tay-Tay.
03:34 Ry Morgan says, "It's nothing like Lemonade."
03:36 And Taylor did a line up for Bad Blood 2.
03:38 Beyonce doesn't own that.
03:39 And Wooten's Last tweets, "Y'all really think Beyonce is the only artist to stand
03:42 in a line and do the Wonder Woman pose?
03:45 J-S-K-S-J-K-S."
03:47 Siren Shake Shack says, "Remix the same 3 beats and 4 lines of lyrics?
03:51 It took you 3 years to do this?"
03:52 Damn girl.
03:53 So why is Taylor such a hater now?
03:55 And who is she talking about in this song?

03:58 Look what you made me do.
04:01 You made me end this video.
