00:00 Hello there and welcome back to our channel. Today we have some important news to share about one of
00:05 our favorite actresses from The Young and the Restless, Lily Brooks O'Brient. She's been going
00:10 through quite a challenging health battle. Our beloved Lily Brooks O'Brient, known for her role
00:15 as Lucy Romalodi on The Young and the Restless has been facing a significant health issue.
00:20 Let's dive right into it. First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers go out to Lily. She's been
00:25 through a lot recently and we wish her a speedy recovery. Lily recently took to Instagram to
00:31 share some personal updates about her health. She had a surgery called endometriosis excision,
00:36 which sounds complicated but we will break it down. Endometriosis is a medical condition where
00:41 tissue similar to the lining of the uterus starts growing in other places, causing pain and various
00:47 other symptoms. Lily's surgery was performed by Dr. Sekin, Dr. Chu and their team, who removed 21
00:53 of these troublesome endometrial lesions. These lesions were causing her extreme pain, nausea,
00:59 migraines and more for the past three and a half years. Imagine having chewing gum stuck in your
01:04 body. That's how Lily describes it. Lily's condition had spread to various parts of her body,
01:09 like her ovaries, bowel, intestines and more. Her left ovary even got distorted and fused to a tube.
01:16 It was like a constant struggle inside her. But it's important to understand that Lily's pain
01:21 was real, and she was not overreacting. It was the endometriosis causing her distress,
01:26 not other factors like eating disorders or stress. Lily considers herself incredibly lucky to have
01:32 been diagnosed at a young age. Many women suffer for a decade or more before they even get a
01:37 diagnosis. She credits Bindi Arwin for sharing her own endometriosis journey, which motivated
01:42 Lily to seek answers. Meeting Bindi at the Steve Arwin Gala was a turning point for her.
01:47 Lily consulted several doctors in LA before finding Dr. Sekhin and his team. Some suggested
01:52 perimenopause or antidepressants to control her pain, but Lily found the right professionals who
01:58 believed in her. Lily wants to use her platform to let other women facing endometriosis know that
02:03 they are not alone. If you are silently dealing with pain and no answers, know that your pain
02:09 is real. She urges everyone to keep searching for answers and not to accept unacceptable responses.
02:15 We can all learn from Lily's determination and resilience. And for those of you watching who
02:20 might be in a similar situation, don't give up. Lily's story is a testament to the importance of
02:25 seeking help and advocating for yourself. Unfortunately, Lily recently had a setback
02:30 in her recovery journey. She experienced more bleeding than usual, which is highly unusual and
02:36 concerning. Medical professionals conducted an ultrasound and CT scan to understand the issue
02:41 better. Lily might need two units of blood and there is even a possibility of another surgery.
02:48 But here is the good news. Lily has an amazing surgeon who has been with her every step of the
02:53 way. She's currently in the hospital and although she will need to stay a bit longer, things are
02:59 looking up. Let's send our prayers and positive vibes to Lily Brooks O'Brien. She is a brave,
03:04 young woman facing her health challenges head on. And we're here to support her every step of the
03:09 way. We hope that this video has helped you understand Lily's situation better and we wish
03:14 her a speedy recovery and a bright future ahead. So this much for today's video. We will deliver
