00:00 Abbey Lee Miller has recently come under fire
00:02 for controversial comments she made
00:04 on the "Sophia the F" podcast.
00:06 And now the "Dance Moms" star
00:07 is attempting to set the record straight.
00:10 On Thursday, September 7th,
00:11 Miller appeared on Sophia Franklin's podcast
00:14 and discussed the 1983 film "All the Right Moves,"
00:17 in which Tom Cruise plays a high school football player.
00:20 Miller stated, "Oh, that's my downfall.
00:22 "I like the high school football players.
00:24 "I still like them.
00:25 "Not one that used to be in high school, but one that is."
00:28 As a result, Miller has received a lot of backlash
00:31 from the public.
00:32 However, she took to Instagram
00:33 in an attempt to explain what she meant.
00:36 - I do like those hot, athletic, muscular types of guys.
00:41 And they must be able to go out to a club,
00:45 gamble in Vegas, rent an ADA-compliant,
00:49 handicapped, accessible van.
00:52 - The "Dance Moms" ringleader also mentioned
00:53 that these men should, "Have a business, a bank account,
00:56 "success and passion in their own right."
00:59 The response to her video seems to be mixed,
01:01 with some finding her iconic and others remain upset,
01:04 pointing out that she didn't address
01:05 what she said on the podcast.
01:07 This is not Abby Lee Miller's first time facing controversy.
01:10 In 2015, Miller served prison time
01:12 after being indicted for fraud.
01:14 And in 2020, she was accused of racist behavior
01:17 by a former "Dance Moms" contestant.
