McIlroy 'excited' by new look Team Europe ahead of Ryder Cup

Rory McIlory said he's excited about what this new look Team Europe can achieve at the 2023 Ryder Cup.

00:17 to try to bring in some fresh talent and we certainly have that this year in terms of

00:23 Nikolaj, Bob, Ludwig, even someone like Asap who's come onto the scene over the last couple

00:32 of years and has played some great golf. It's exciting, it's exciting and I think the thing

00:40 as well which has been a nice, it's been sort of refreshing, it felt like, you know, starting

00:50 with Rosie and Shane and myself, the three oldest on the team, which is amazing to say,

00:59 I felt like all of the 12 of us were all on the same level, you know, we're all on the

01:03 same wavelength, there was no type of hierarchy within the team. I remember 2012 Ryder Cup,

01:11 I went in there, number one player in the world, I'd won two majors in the last two

01:15 years and I still didn't feel like I could speak up in the team room and this doesn't

01:19 feel like that, which I think is really good, just making the new guys as comfortable as

01:23 possible and to me that was a really cool thing over the last couple of days.
