Transcript
00:00 >> What is the name for you guys this week, you and
00:02 the others with Hawaii connections to play the women's world?
00:05 >> It means a lot, but for being from Hawaii, it means a lot to a lot of us,
00:10 especially the guys from Hawaii.
00:12 Just like, I remember been looking forward to playing them when I first got here,
00:16 but COVID happened.
00:18 Should be a fun game, not gonna treat it any differently from any other opponent.
00:22 Just gonna attack, literally attack every week.
00:24 >> Do you know anyone on that team really well?
00:26 >> Not really.
00:28 >> What's the experience been like this season with your brother?
00:32 >> Man, it's been dope, surreal.
00:34 I mean, not a lot gets to say that, but it's been a real blessing,
00:38 real huge opportunity to play next one.
00:40 Just seeing him grow and just watching him become the man he has to become.
00:44 It's fun.
00:45 >> Do you have to put in a different hat in terms of just big brother, but
00:48 also mentoring the younger guys?
00:49 Or is it all kind of just- >> I feel like just having that big brother
00:53 role and knowing when to turn it off.
00:55 Not really two hats, it's just I play the big brother role all the time.
00:59 I will try to as best as I can,
01:00 just cuz I had a lot of big brother for me when I first got here too.
01:04 So I just try to have that same thing for the younger guys too now.
01:07 >> What's impressed you most with what he's done since he's gotten,
01:10 he's been playing already as a true freshman.
01:12 That doesn't always happen for an offensive lineman.
01:13 Just your pride, I guess, in how he's performed.
01:16 >> Not shying away from competition.
01:17 That is something I've been trying to engrave into him for the longest.
01:22 And he's doing it and proud of it.
01:24 I just can't wait to see where he goes next.
01:26 >> I'm just talking about your leadership,
01:28 really saying that you're one of the better leaders,
01:30 one of the best leaders on this offense, on this team.
01:33 That's not something you hear every day from the number six offensive lineman.
01:37 But what is it about, what do you think it is that you're doing that is so
01:40 respected by coaches, by your teammates?
01:43 >> To be honest, I don't even know.
01:44 I just try to come out here, whether I feel good or not, and just give it my all,
01:48 lay it on the line for the guys next to me.
01:50 Cuz I know they'll do the same.
