Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi hits on a variety of subjects including the loss of tight end Greg Dulcich.
Transcript
00:00 Yeah, you know, he's got good speed, good hands, you know, really dangerous receiving threat.
00:05 You know, a guy that you really like in certain matchups.
00:09 You know, we like our tight ends, but obviously we don't have that speed and passing threat like
00:15 Greg. So, but those guys are, you know, Trout, he's a viable receiving threat, just maybe not
00:23 the same explosiveness as Greg. So, you know, other guys are gonna have to pick up the slack.
00:29 Yeah, he's a great route runner. So someone you feel really good when he's matched up man to man.
00:35 So when you recognize that, you know, someone that you look to early as a quarterback,
00:40 you know, a guy that consistently can get separation. And so just the more receivers
00:47 that you have that can win those one-on-one matchups, the easier it is. So just, you know,
00:52 definitely be good to have him back. I think, you know, each play has a purpose, has, you know,
01:01 whoever's on the field, you're trying to maximize their strengths. And there's just, he's got a
01:05 skill set that, you know, he's a good receiver and he's got good vision in the running game.
01:10 So there's just certain run schemes and pass schemes maybe that he's good at and the other
01:15 guys are good at him too. But, you know, one of the challenges with the roster is just making
01:20 sure guys that are up are getting reps. So you're not wearing other people down. So just fitting
01:24 him in where he's doing things he's good at, but also taking some, taking some stress off
01:31 the other runners so that you can spread that workload around.
