00:00 >> I mean, Mike's a stud, he's been doing this for a long time at a high level.
00:03 Yeah, I mean, you saw a couple of contested catches there,
00:07 and just plays after the catch as well.
00:09 It was kind of either a throw it out of bounds or
00:12 only he can get it played there on the left side, not on their sideline.
00:15 And he takes it the rest of the way.
00:17 And then also just that catch and run going towards the ship.
00:22 He's a stud.
00:23 He's the best goalball runner versus off coverage in the league.
00:26 That's where that touchdown was, off corner.
00:28 He just closes that space so quickly and accelerates.
00:30 So we're lucky to have him.
00:32 >> You guys were able to get things going.
00:33 >> One of your biggest plays was actually a fumble recovery from the David Wilson.
00:38 What does it mean for this offense to not have any turnovers through the first
00:41 two weeks?
00:42 >> We've preached ever since Dave came in.
00:45 He said it's all about the ball.
00:46 Yeah, we put one on the ground today.
00:48 I know Dave knows better.
00:49 We all know that.
00:50 But it's about sworn into football, fighting for your teammates, and
00:53 being there when you need to.
00:54 Yeah, and then we had the touchdown right after that.
00:56 So just capitalizing on that, making sure we still have the ball in our hands.
00:59 >> What was clicking so well for you guys on third down?
01:02 I know that was a bit of a struggle last week early on.
01:05 But this week it seemed like you were able to get that right away.
01:08 >> I'll tell you what, we had a lot more zone coverage beaters in our third down
01:12 plan, I'll say that.
01:13 Especially they were down a couple guys,
01:15 just knowing we were gonna get more zone coverage.
01:17 Just anticipating that and had a good game plan going in there.
01:19 Dave was calling it well and just delivering to the open guys.
01:22 Checkdowns are good, especially, like we said, our defense is playing well.
01:26 Just in the possession with the ball in our hands,
01:29 whether it's a touchdown or a field goal kick, and good things will happen.
01:33 >> I figure Rashad just told us he found himself watching you at certain times.
01:36 And obviously as a quarterback, you prefer that no one comes anywhere near you.
01:39 But there was a couple times today where you should have been sacked and
01:41 you find your way out of it.
01:43 For you personally, do you sort of relish plays like that in terms of it fires guys
01:48 up?
01:49 >> Yeah, I mean, it's fun to, obviously, if it turns out well.
01:54 But yeah, it fires them up knowing that even if the lineman gets beat a little
01:58 bit, we still have a chance.
01:59 And our guys are gonna continue to work in the scramble drill aspect.
02:02 And we're gonna have a lot of big plays when it comes down to that.
02:05 And yeah, we just need to capitalize.
02:07 And yeah, I'm pretty dense back there, so it's quite the load to take down.
02:10 >> [LAUGH] >> Did you see a different intensity
02:13 from the shot today?
02:14 You went towards some really key situations.
02:17 >> Yeah, there was a couple of those runs that he normally is really patient
02:22 setting up the blocks, but he was downhill today.
02:24 He loved seeing that.
02:26 Unfortunately, Chase had to leave mid game, so it was just Rashad and Sean.
02:30 And so those guys were playing hard no matter what the rotation was.
02:33 And so we're lucky to have those guys as well.
02:35 >> Baker, in addition to the defense taking a little pressure off and
02:39 playing well, how does it feel to have several weapons, healthy weapons,
02:44 and targets to shoot towards, including Evans, Godwin, Otten?
02:49 >> Yeah, I mean, when we grow in this offense, continue to get better and
02:53 better, we're gonna be able to do whatever we want.
02:57 The teams can game plan however they want against us.
02:59 They can roll coverage over to Mike, but that means Chris is not gonna have a one
03:02 on one, or Cade, or Trey Palmer, who's made a lot of plays for us, and
03:05 Devin Tompkins.
03:06 And can't forget about the check downs to our backs.
03:09 They're so good with the ball in their hands.
03:10 So yeah, we've got a really good skill group, and
03:12 the Lions continue playing really well.
03:14 And so we just gotta keep growing as a unit.
