00:00 Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act case. Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa's head of the court is in the process of signing it.
00:07 15 judges from the Supreme Court are present. Abdul Qadir is with us.
00:11 Abdul Qadir, so far the situation has been good. What has happened? What is the most important thing?
00:18 Look, so far, the judges have been asking questions. Some judges are going to the opinion that the Parliament had the power to legislate and they could do it.
00:32 And if they have done this, then it is a strong link to the Supreme Court and no harm is being done to the Supreme Court.
00:48 But on the other hand, the other judges, who think that the Parliament did not have the power to amend the rules of the Supreme Court and they have used their power wrongly.
01:03 So, Justice Monee Bakhtar and the other judges, on their side, first Qazi Tariq Rahim came and faced the questions of the judges.
01:15 About 15 judges are present at the moment. All judges are asking their questions.
01:22 And in this regard, the other lawyers who are coming, they also faced various questions.
01:28 So far, a tough competition is going on. It seems that this whole matter will be with the composition of 7-8.
01:37 If a decision comes, then 7 judges are seen on one side and the other 8 judges are seen on the other side.
01:44 We also saw the remarks of Chief Justice Pakistan. Their bow is that the Parliament is supreme and it has the power to legislate.
01:54 But the people who are being asked, they are repeatedly using the situation that the Parliament did not have the power to legislate.
02:02 Cross questioning has taken place. The people are trying to convince the judges of the Supreme Court.
02:09 But a fundamental point of the Supreme Court is under Article 184.
02:14 They are asking how this request can be entertained under Article 184.
02:19 Or how this case of fundamental human rights is made and what are the fundamental human rights that are being influenced by the people.
02:26 After the Supreme Court, the judges have this opinion that if the Parliament has made this decision,
02:32 then if any party is directly influenced by it, then the fundamental human rights are not influenced by the Chief Justice or the Supreme Court.
02:42 So arguments are going on about these things.
02:45 Abdul Qadir, there has been a break in the hearing. Tell us when will the hearing start again?
02:52 Look, there is a break of approximately 30 minutes and after this the hearing will start.
02:57 Thank you Tony General for Pakistan.
02:59 [End]
