00:00 >> All right, appreciate everybody's patience, man.
00:02 Really fun atmosphere tonight.
00:03 I thought our team started really fast.
00:05 Show what we were capable of from an efficiency standpoint,
00:08 really on all phases of the game, from special teams to offense and defense.
00:13 I thought we played complete.
00:15 I'm extremely disappointed with the penalties and how they hurt us there.
00:19 It's something we coached really hard, but we're not coaching it well enough.
00:21 So that's the first thing we're gonna attack.
00:23 We have to figure out how to make sure we're accountable as a program.
00:25 Talk about going into half with a ton of momentum and
00:28 three penalties end up leading to a score there at the end of the first half.
00:32 So that's extremely frustrating, something we wanna correct.
00:35 Penalties again in that last series that led to another score.
00:37 So if we haven't figured out the formula yet, I'm disappointed in us.
00:41 Now, I don't want that to overshadow a lot of the positive that happened.
00:44 I thought we moved the line of scrimmage.
00:45 I thought we applied pressure.
00:46 I thought our coaches had a really good plan.
00:49 But we're certainly not satisfied.
00:51 Was thrilled about the crowd tonight.
00:53 Thought they were electric, showed up for a big game.
00:54 And I know they're gonna even be better next week.
00:56 So we can open it up.
00:58 >> Sorry, Eric, second row on the left.
01:00 Eric.
01:00 >> Leading up to this week, you talked a lot about their explosive pass tech,
01:05 like to stretch it vertically.
01:06 I think their longest completion was 15 yards.
01:08 Just how do you feel like you did there and
01:10 what stood out from your secondary as a whole?
01:12 >> Yeah, I thought we had bodies on bodies, primarily most of the night.
01:15 And I think the best coverage at times can be a good rush, right?
01:18 And I thought we had a good rush throughout the night.
01:21 But again, we have to learn to be able to play with the ball in the air and
01:25 not cause penalties.
01:26 Cuz you look at third down penalty there that led to an opportunity for
01:29 them to go down and have an opportunity to score.
01:31 So really solid performance at times, but
01:35 we're certainly looking for opportunities to get better.
01:37 >> On the right, Zach.
01:38 >> Obviously talked about penalties and last week we were talking about it as well.
01:42 It's that how do you address that?
01:43 >> Yeah, we better not be talking about it next week.
01:45 >> How do you address that this week?
01:46 Is it something different or is it just drilling a hole?
01:48 >> I'm not gonna do the same thing again and again and
01:49 expect a different result.
01:51 So we're gonna do something different, right?
01:52 And we're gonna figure out if we can get it fixed, right?
01:54 If we can't, then they can't be on the field.
01:56 If you're gonna get penalties, you can't be on the field, right?
01:58 And that's gonna be that simple, right?
01:59 If you get a penalty, you can't play for us.
02:01 You're hurting the team.
