Condolences have poured in on social media for Blake, the dog involved in the search for victims of the Batang Kali landslide after he was euthanised due to cancer.

00:14 The Local Government Development Ministry's Facebook page,
00:17 which had announced his death on Tuesday,
00:19 was filled with tributes to the English-Springer Spaniel,
00:22 thanking him for his service and contribution to the country.
00:28 Seven-year-old Blake had been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma on August 15.
00:34 He was admitted to the Pet Dog Ward at UPM's Veterinary Faculty on September 14,
00:40 when he suffered a loss of appetite and was lethargic.
00:44 In a statement on Monday, the Veterinary Department said the cancer had spread aggressively
00:49 and it was agreed that Blake be put to sleep due to his rapidly declining health.
00:55 Blake had contributed to various search operations,
00:58 including the Batangkali Landslide Rescue Mission last December.
