A former headmaster pleaded not guilty at the Alor Gajah Magistrate's Court on Friday (Jan 10) to charges of hugging and kissing a former female trainee teacher last year.

Mohammed Mohd Som, 58, made this plea after three charges were read before Magistrate Teoh Shu Yee.

00:33on August 16 last year. He was also accused of hugging the victim and kissing her forehead
00:39in a car in Taman Wirainda and Taman Ilir Jaya at around 11 p.m. on January 18 and July
00:4630 last year. Mohamed was charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code and faces up to 10 years
00:53imprisonment or a fine or whipping or any two of these penalties upon conviction. The
00:59court allowed bail of 7,500 ringgit for all charges with one surety and set March 6 for
01:06next mention of the case.
