TikTok star Max McCann wants to fill Turf Moor's fan zone with foodbank donations during a special fundraiser for Burnley FC in the Community.

00:00 Earlier on this year I started a company called Maxi's, which is a food brand on a mission to donate a million meals to those that are in need and going hungry.
00:07 So we've got some seasoning over there. That was like the first initial product and we donate one meal to those in need per bottle sold.
00:15 So we've donated about 5,000 meals so far, aiming to get to a million bottles sold so we can donate a million meals.
00:23 Maxi contacted me a few weeks ago, wanted to do a UK tour, wanted to get into the football clubs and I'm so glad that he was able to contact Burnley and say look we want to do something.
00:32 So we're looking at an event in November where we encourage people to fill the fan zone, full of donations.
00:38 We want to make it one of the biggest food donating days in the country if possible, so we use Maxi's contacts and of course Maxi to drive that forward and support from all local businesses, including the football club and the charity.
00:51 So Maxi is vital in the support with us as well.
00:53 So far I've been able to help quite a bit, like 5,000 meals is amazing, but there's so many people throughout the whole of the UK literally starving.
01:03 There's 4 million children that are currently going hungry and I just needed to try and do something bigger and better than what I was currently doing at the moment.
01:09 So I thought what could be a massive campaign that could help thousands and thousands of people, especially at a tough time during the year around Christmas.
01:17 So I messaged every single, DM'd literally every single football stadium that I could think of and find and the only one that replied was Burnley.
01:25 And I think Burnley are the only football stadium in the UK that have a food bank attached to it and doing all the amazing things that they're doing.
01:33 So it was just sort of by chance they were the ones that replied and here we are.
01:37 Even we're feeling the cost of items, so a pallet of milk that used to cost 350 quid is now costing anywhere between 700 and 800 pound.
01:46 The cost of everything has just gone up so much that if food banks are struggling to buy pallets of food, then the general public are going to see the same struggle.
01:54 So for us it's changing day by day, we have to get different stock in, some stock we can't get in because it's just too expensive, so there is that balance that we have to try and find.
02:03 The initial goal was 22,000 donations, one for every seat in the stadium.
02:07 A mixture of either people bringing food donations down on the day, we're going to set up a GoFundMe for anyone that can't make it and then that will contribute to the goal.
02:15 to the goal and any local businesses and investors that may want to get involved.
