00:00 Approximately 8pm this morning, emergency crews responded to reports of a hazmat incident
00:07 involving gasoline. There was some work being done on the site, we're unsure what that work
00:16 practice was at the present time, that's still under further investigation. Crews did arrive
00:25 and when they got to the scene there was an eruption gas line, so natural gas was being
00:32 dispersed. A coordinated effort between Tasmania Fire Service, SES and Tas Police unfolded
00:41 and the area was evacuated, the emergency alert went out, an exclusion zone of approximately
00:48 120 metres, just to make sure the public was safe. Tasmanian ambulance was also engaged
00:56 on site in case any medical assistance was required. Tas Networks, natural gas, or Tas

01:22 pipe that had ruptured and that's why we ended up doing the emergency alert to evacuate the
01:29 immediate area.
