00:00 Okay, right here is good, right here is good.
00:03 I want a good, clean fight.
00:04 Obey my commands at all times.
00:05 Above all, protect yourself at all times.
00:07 Let's go.
00:08 - Last time we saw Dante Benjamin
00:11 was opening the month with the knockout
00:14 of the night against a fighter
00:17 by the name of Mirati Zola,
00:19 who just took a three-punch combination
00:22 and went buenas noches,
00:24 and now he's in against William Langston,
00:27 a fighter who is tough, who can take a shot
00:30 and is proven to be able to take a shot
00:32 despite three losses as a pro,
00:35 and he is gonna be in here
00:37 trying to extend Dante Benjamin Jr.
00:40 - I'm excited about this matchup.
00:43 I think this is his first real test,
00:44 Dante Benjamin.
00:45 Langston can punch, he can punch, he can fight.
00:49 You can see he's well put together,
00:52 good physique on him as well.
00:56 - And this is one of those questions
00:58 that Dante Benjamin will have to answer
01:00 is what happens when he faces a fighter
01:02 who punches back, who is skilled,
01:05 and who has a temperament to want to be in this fight
01:08 and comes to win?
01:09 - Yeah, and I like Benjamin.
01:11 You gotta understand, he's 21 years old.
01:13 He's a baby.
01:14 That might sound crazy to a lot of you folks at home,
01:17 but no, he is.
01:18 When it comes to boxing, he's a baby.
01:21 But he has a good frame, great boxing ability,
01:24 as you can see, well-spoken.
01:26 And he's moving in the right direction.
01:30 Let's see how he fares against the competition tonight.
01:33 - We always talk about activity
01:35 being the best friend of a young fighter,
01:38 but when you do it 27 days after having done it,
01:41 what is the difficulty of a short turnaround, if any?
01:44 - Overtraining.
01:47 You still need to take the required weeks off,
01:49 like one week off, a few days off,
01:52 and let your body heal up, even though you've been in battle,
01:55 even though you've knocked your opponent out
01:57 in a round or two,
01:58 you still need to allow your body to rest.
02:01 And so hopefully Benjamin took a couple of days off
02:04 and got right back into the gym.
02:06 - What was your closest turnaround, your quickest?
02:10 - Usually, I remember fighting my first year,
02:14 I believe, with Thompson.
02:15 I fought seven times, six or seven times in one year.
02:18 In the following year, I fought, I believe, five times.
02:21 So I was active.
02:22 I was having a fight once a month.
02:25 - And that's when you developed the most.
02:26 - Yes, yes.
02:27 You stay sharp that way.
02:28 A lot of times you get guys that stay heavy in the gym
02:34 and they're working on different moves,
02:36 different moves, learning different things,
02:38 but they're not applying it outside the gym.
02:42 You need to be able to apply it
02:43 against a different opponent,
02:44 not the regular sparring partners that you spar with,
02:47 but a different opponent under these bright lights.
02:50 - We see Langston switching southpaw now,
02:52 giving Dante Benjamin a different look,
02:54 snaps that jab.
02:55 Ooh, and gets countered with a nice right
02:59 from Dante Benjamin.
03:00 - See, one of the things that I'm looking at Dante Benjamin
03:05 in his head, just pay attention to his head.
03:07 It's always straight, directly on the line.
03:10 And when I say the line, that means the line of fire.
03:13 That means that if Langston,
03:15 if he just throws a straight left hand
03:17 and he doesn't move his head, he's gonna land.
03:19 - Trained by Renard Sapo since he was seven years old,
03:23 a former stellar high school basketball player.
03:27 He understands that everyone loves knockout wins,
03:31 but he also wants to make sure not to get ahead of himself
03:34 and enjoy this process.
03:35 - Dante Benjamin coming forward,
03:41 snapping the head back again, and it is over.
03:44 - What made me decide to fight again so quickly
03:46 was my manager calling me,
03:47 telling me that everybody liked me
03:50 and I did some good work in the last fight,
03:52 and my coach motivated me, telling me, "We're ready.
03:54 Just get back in the gym the next day."
03:56 When I first started going into the ring,
04:00 I used to think knockout, like my first couple of fights,
04:03 but now I just think whatever happens, happens.
04:06 I just gotta be patient, take my time,
04:08 and set up my shot, and everything will come.
04:11 I'm hoping to become a contender in the future,
04:14 but right now, my sight is on this fight.
04:16 I'm not looking so far into the future,
04:18 'cause once you look in the future,
04:20 you lose track of the present.
04:22 - Definitely can't make the mistake of looking ahead
04:28 past William Langston, because Langston trains in Chicago
04:32 with Sam Colonna.
04:33 He told me, "I got into boxing
04:35 just because I never knew that Kenosha had a boxing gym,
04:39 and once I saw it, I fell in love."
04:41 - Yeah, boxing has a way of just dragging in just anybody,
04:48 to be honest with you.
04:49 The tools that we use to train inside there
04:52 are interesting.
04:55 The heavy bag, the speed bag that's hanging there.
04:57 - Those don't punch back, but Benjamin and Langston do.
05:03 - And a lot of times, people get involved in boxing
05:06 because of the conditioning aspect,
05:07 and then they end up falling in love with it.
05:10 - Yeah, we hear a lot of stories about a young man,
05:12 David Benavidez, was an overweight kid,
05:14 getting bullied, and all of a sudden,
05:15 he goes into the gym, and now he's the monster.
05:19 - Yes.
05:20 - Ooh, nice body shot, and sets up a left hook
05:22 over the top from Dante Benjamin.
05:23 - Yeah, he was able to set that up
05:24 'cause it was a level change.
05:26 He went down, jabbed to the body,
05:27 came up with a combination, right hand,
05:29 and then a left hook on top, surprising Langston.
05:32 Great variation with combinations.
05:35 It's very important to variate your combinations
05:37 because if you throw the same things
05:38 over and over and over,
05:40 your opponent, he'll catch on to it.
05:42 He'll start to set you up.
05:49 - See, the dead spots in between fighters,
05:52 you wanna control that dead spot.
05:53 You can even flick a jab out there, a bait jab,
05:56 try to get your opponent to throw something
05:58 so you can counter, but you wanna control
06:00 that space in between, either with a solid jab,
06:04 a bait jab, a probe, something,
06:06 just to get him to look at something.
06:09 - I mean, Benjamin is having to learn
06:13 that every time he throws something,
06:14 Benjamin, I mean, Langston has a return.
06:17 - Yes.
06:18 - He's got a body shot there
06:19 from Benjamin to the body with the right hand,
06:21 but like I said, Langston always comes back
06:23 with something, so he's gotta keep moving.
06:25 You can't admire your work against a fighter like Langston.
06:28 - No, he's experienced.
06:29 He's experienced, and he's not tight, he's loose.
06:34 You know, he's been here before, and you can tell.
06:36 He's extremely comfortable in there against Benjamin.
06:39 Both guys are feigning.
06:46 They're trying to change up the rhythm.
06:47 That's what the feints are for, change up your rhythms.
06:50 It's a way to get your opponent to commit,
06:55 or at least try to get him to commit.
06:57 It's a deceptive movement.
07:00 You're showing them that you might throw a punch,
07:03 and you're really not, and then you finally throw it.
07:05 - Ooh, nice counter left from Dante Benjamin Jr.
07:13 As Langston reached, he made him pay.
07:15 - Yeah, but Benjamin got caught though, too, also.
07:19 With a right hand from Langston.
07:23 - Tonight's main event features Sinisa Estrada,
07:30 the Unified Undefeated Champion.
07:32 Has been a pro since 2011,
07:33 before women's boxing was in the Olympics,
07:36 and she knows she's opening doors
07:38 for the next young ladies like her.
07:43 - Oh, and Estrada caught her clingy, and down she goes.
07:48 - I fight for the eight-year-old me,
07:50 who started boxing when women's boxing
07:52 was kind of non-existent.
07:54 I fight for that little girl,
07:58 that little girl who wanted to just
08:01 come into the boxing world and just
08:03 break down barriers for young girls like herself,
08:06 and for all women out there.
08:08 - Oh, my word!
08:10 - And they will wave it off!
08:12 A straight left hand does the trick for Sinisa Estrada!
08:17 - I think she fights for herself.
08:19 She's trying to prove something to the world,
08:21 and that she is the best pound-for-pound
08:23 female fighter in the world.
08:24 - Sinisa turned her opponent into a break dancer
08:30 there, stopping that fight.
08:31 What do you most impress about
08:33 what she's done in her young career?
08:35 - What she's shown is her resiliency.
08:38 This is something outside of boxing.
08:40 Fighters, we go through so much in our life.
08:43 Sometimes people forget that we have
08:46 an outside life as well.
08:48 And through these hard times,
08:50 she was able to stay strong, stay resilient,
08:53 and now she's in a better place,
08:55 even though when it felt like, during that time,
08:57 that she wasn't gonna get to where she is today.
08:59 So, I just admire that, man, that heart,
09:02 that determination, that will to be great.
09:06 - That's what Dante Benjamin dreams of as well.
09:09 And William Langston wants to make it as tough for him
09:12 to get to his path, and if he can knock out a fighter
09:15 like Dante Benjamin Jr., then he's making some noise,
09:18 and he's making his kids happy.
09:19 He's the father of four boys, ages 10, eight, five, and three.
09:23 They love boxing, and I asked them,
09:25 who's their favorite fighters?
09:26 They said, well, me and Muhammad Ali. (laughs)
09:30 - That's awesome.
09:34 - There's that stick from Dante Benjamin Jr.
09:37 Langston trying to find a way inside that jab of Benjamin.
09:50 There it is, you answer with the jab to the body.
09:56 And you see that Dante Benjamin has the words dad
10:00 across the front of his trunks,
10:02 and that's because his father, Dante Benjamin Sr.,
10:05 who introduced him to boxing,
10:06 passed away from kidney disease in March of 2021 at age 49.
10:11 So young, and so he does this in honor of his father,
10:14 who started him in this sport.
10:16 - So, you're gonna notice Langston blinking.
10:19 Look at his right eye, little puffy underneath.
10:21 The swelling, he got hit with a punch,
10:25 and it might've been a thumb.
10:26 And I know this because-- - Nice counters, yes.
10:29 - How quickly it's swoll up.
10:31 - Mm-hmm.
10:32 But he's blinking profusely with his right eye.
10:39 - Yeah, you see--
10:45 - See the little inflammation around it already.
10:47 - That's the left hand of Dante Benjamin Jr.
10:51 Sometimes those grazing shots are the one
10:53 that cause that type of abrasion and inflammation.
10:57 You see him pawing at it now.
10:59 - Yeah, you see, you're gonna notice one thing
11:02 about Benjamin, he can't really punch on the move.
11:05 He'll move, he'll move, and then he'll plant his feet,
11:10 and then that's when you know he's gonna punch.
11:12 That's a tell, that's something
11:13 he's gonna have to stop doing.
11:15 He's gonna have to either walk left or right,
11:17 stay in motion, move his head left and right.
11:20 Sometimes he can stay still, but for the most part,
11:22 I know when he's going to throw.
11:23 - Now, you've mentioned the fact
11:26 that Benjamin's been affected,
11:27 but he's also taken some shots
11:29 because of one fundamental flaw.
11:31 - Yes.
11:32 - Walk us through what he's doing.
11:33 - He's staying in place, that's the problem.
11:35 Staying in place.
11:37 So when you stay in place and you start taking pictures,
11:39 and you start thinking too much instead of reacting,
11:41 this is what happens, you get hit with the jab.
11:44 That's what Langston's doing, setting up his jab,
11:47 just letting it go, just free swinging.
11:49 He's getting into range and just throwing his jab
11:51 right down the pipe, catching Benjamin by surprise.
11:57 - Sam Colonna not only his trainer, but also the coach.
12:00 - I know, I got you, pick it up, pick it up.
12:02 - You gotta get up first, he's getting up first.
12:04 You gotta start picking it up, you hear me?
12:06 Throw that jab up and down, not one place.
12:09 Okay, you throw it in one place,
12:10 what's gonna happen is you're gonna get used to it.
12:12 (hip hop music)
12:15 You're gonna have to start picking it up
12:19 and take it to him, you hear me?
12:20 - Yes, sir. - Let's go.
12:21 All right, get up.
12:24 - Let's go, let's go.
12:25 - Sam Colonna, a man who has been around
12:28 the Chicago boxing scene for decades now.
12:31 Out of the Sam Colonna Boxing Gym
12:33 is where William Langston trains,
12:36 down the road from his native Kenosha, Wisconsin.
12:39 Not a lot going on in Kenosha, my man.
12:42 (laughing)
12:44 - Langston, Langston.
12:46 You know, I really did admire the coaching instructions
12:53 from Langston's corner,
12:55 telling him he needs to step on the gas.
12:58 And he's right.
12:59 You know, you want to try to deter the younger guy.
13:04 You wanna put the pressure on him.
13:06 You want to try to force mistakes,
13:08 you know, with the younger guy.
13:10 And if he used to get busy with his hands,
13:11 he's able to put him in positions he's never been to,
13:14 or never been in before.
13:17 Sitting on the outside and trying to outbox this younger guy,
13:19 he's not gonna win that battle.
13:21 He needs to make it rough, tough, and dirty
13:24 against Benjamin.
13:25 - Good right hand. - Ooh, that's a right hand
13:29 from Conte Benjamin that-- - You see his legs?
13:31 - Takes the legs of Langston. - Oh yeah, sir.
13:32 Oh yeah, that was a circuit breaker right there.
13:34 That thing, it shocked him.
13:37 That was a shocker.
13:38 You know, when you get hit with shots like that,
13:40 it keeps you still for a split second.
13:41 It's like you're here, but you're really not.
13:44 And then you wake up and you're like, "Okay, I'm okay."
13:46 That right hand is there.
13:50 I don't know if you saw that sequence right there,
13:52 but that jab down to the downstairs
13:54 will bring the level, bring the hands down
13:57 of Langston and the right hand.
13:58 His head is right there on the line
14:00 for the right hand for Benjamin.
14:01 - Well, didn't we just see that on Tuesday morning?
14:03 - Yes, yes, yes.
14:06 - That's how he set up Steven Fulton.
14:08 - You know, Benjamin talked to us about the fact
14:12 that once he gets somebody hurt, he wants to finish,
14:15 but he's been working on having that patience
14:17 to not put himself in danger against an injured fighter.
14:21 - Well, Benjamin's showing his boxing ability.
14:24 You know, I like the fact that he's staying disciplined
14:27 on the inside, he's keeping his hands tight.
14:30 You know, I would love to see,
14:31 he just got off the ropes good,
14:32 threw a combination to get back into the center of the ring,
14:34 but again, if he gets back heavy on that jab,
14:37 that will help him control the pace of the fight
14:41 and also control Langston.
14:44 - And that subtle movement, as you mentioned earlier,
14:47 keeps Langston off balance because he needs to reset.
14:49 He has to have set feet
14:51 in order to be effective in punching.
14:53 - Langston needs to extend with his right hand.
14:56 He needs to take the jab away from Benjamin
15:01 by attempting to counter his jab
15:03 with the right hand over the top.
15:05 - Ooh, nice right to the body from Langston.
15:08 (crowd shouting)
15:11 - Double jab from Dante Benjamin Jr.
15:21 And you'll see some jabs,
15:22 but mostly power punches this month of August
15:26 because our schedule is knockout heavy
15:28 as Joe Tessitore walks us through what we have coming up.
15:35 - On Saturday, August 12th,
15:36 it's Proven Warriors Mexican style.
15:39 WBO junior lightweight champion, Emmanuel Navarrete,
15:42 30 knockouts and always incredibly entertaining.
15:45 Meets up with two division world champion,
15:47 Oscar Valdez on ESPN.
15:49 On August 19th, Archer Better BF returns to ESPN.
15:53 The human wrecking ball is a perfect 19 wins
15:56 with 19 knockouts.
15:58 He'll put all three light heavyweight titles on the line
16:00 against former super middleweight world champion,
16:02 Callum Smith.
16:04 Then on August 26th, a double header of heavyweight action.
16:07 First on ESPN plus that afternoon, live from Poland,
16:11 it's the unified heavyweight champion of the world,
16:14 Alexander Usyk.
16:16 The unbeaten Usyk defends against Daniel Dubois,
16:18 that's on ESPN plus.
16:20 Then later that night on ESPN,
16:23 the American hyped as the next great one,
16:25 Jared Anderson is immediately back in the ring.
16:28 It's in August of pure power punchers
16:31 heating up throughout the month.
16:33 (dramatic music)
16:35 - Don't see a lot of decisions in those.
16:37 - No, neither do I.
16:39 (laughing)
16:42 Neither do I.
16:43 - But tonight we may get a decision
16:44 between Sinisa Strada, the unified champion
16:46 and Leonel Ayudica at 105 pounds.
16:49 But it's gonna be all action from first bell
16:52 until that goes to the end.
16:55 We'll see that later on from the palms
16:58 right here on ESPN plus.
17:00 Hope you hang out with Tim, myself, Tess, Kregel.
17:05 - The gang.
17:08 - Her body.
17:09 - He said her body.
17:11 - There's that stick from Dante Benjamin Jr. once again.
17:15 - All right, so Dante's in his rhythm now.
17:18 Now you're starting to see him be accurate with his shots.
17:21 This is what happens when you start timing your opponent.
17:23 You're gonna stand still, he's gonna stand still,
17:25 he's waiting, trying to see if he's gonna commit.
17:27 He didn't right there, shoots a jab,
17:28 but he's waiting on something to come
17:30 so he can come right over the top.
17:31 - Ooh, nice right up top and then downstairs from Langston.
17:34 I don't think that Benjamin's been hit to the body
17:36 like that yet as a pro.
17:37 - No, he hasn't.
17:39 And you can see him get on his bike and move positions.
17:43 - Still trying to catch his breath, I think.
17:50 - Yeah, oh yeah, he's still trying to catch his breath.
17:53 - What do you do if you're Langston?
17:54 You dig down there once again.
17:55 - Yeah, and what do you do if you're Benjamin
17:58 and you need to rest?
17:59 What you do is you step in, your body up, and you tie up.
18:03 Get your little breather.
18:04 Let the ref come in and do his job.
18:06 That's what he gets paid for.
18:07 - Inexperienced pride, sometimes that--
18:14 - It has nothing to do with inexperienced pride.
18:17 I mean, yeah, it does have a lot to do with inexperienced,
18:19 but you gotta be taught it.
18:21 - Yes. - You gotta be taught it.
18:22 It has to be worked in the gym.
18:24 - There's that stick, and once again,
18:26 strafing right to the rib cages,
18:29 and Langston is just going to work downstairs.
18:33 - See, Langston is hitting the bigger target.
18:35 He's like, "Okay, forget about the head.
18:36 "I'm gonna hit the young guy downstairs.
18:38 "I'm gonna try to take his legs,
18:39 "try to keep him stationary,
18:42 "take some of that agility away."
18:44 - The reality is a lot of boxers can take a shot to the head,
18:47 but the real question is, can you take it downstairs?
18:51 And that's a question that Langston is asking
18:53 of Dante Benjamin Jr. that we've never had asked before.
18:56 - Well, we got one more round.
18:59 Let's see if it'll pay some dividends in this next round
19:02 and see if Dante, if he sits still.
19:05 You know, I've been watching Dante,
19:09 and he may say that he's not tired,
19:11 but his mouth's been open since the third round.
19:15 (hands slapping)
19:23 - Ooh, another left hook downstairs,
19:26 and you see the hands of Benjamin go down once again
19:29 because Langston is becoming the body snatcher here.
19:32 Let's listen in to the corners.
19:36 - Gotta get through.
19:37 - It's the last round.
19:39 - You gotta pick it up, man.
19:40 Come on, you gotta pick it up.
19:42 (crowd chattering)
19:45 - Listen, we've got to drop this guy, you hear me?
19:50 - Last round.
19:51 - Yes, sir.
19:52 - We gotta drop him.
19:54 We need to drop this guy, William.
19:57 Let's go.
19:58 - Everything you got.
19:59 You're in shape, everything you got.
20:00 - William, you got nothing to lose.
20:02 Let them hands go.
20:03 You had him in the corner a couple times.
20:04 You still let him go.
20:05 Let them hands go.
20:06 No matter if he hit his back,
20:07 anywhere you hit, I don't care.
20:09 - Take it slow, man.
20:11 Take it slow, man.
20:12 Take it slow, man.
20:13 - He wanna get the road to bang,
20:13 and all he did, he dabbed me in, right?
20:16 Devil jab right here, body hit.
20:17 Keep that body hit and get on the move.
20:19 Stop jumping out, let your hands go.
20:20 Be more accurate.
20:21 Give me three minutes of work.
20:23 I want three minutes of work.
20:24 I want three minutes of work.
20:25 I want three minutes of work.
20:27 - Three minutes of whooping.
20:30 I was really surprised that Sammy Colonna
20:33 did not recognize how much damage the body shots did
20:38 during that fifth round,
20:39 'cause that's what I would've sent him out to do.
20:41 - He's doing it on his own.
20:42 Langston's doing it on his own.
20:43 It was a nice combination, a nice jab to the chest
20:46 and right into the body,
20:47 but one thing that I did hear Langston say in the corner,
20:49 he said, "I got him."
20:50 That's what he said, "I got him, I got him.
20:52 I know he's weakening, I feel him."
20:54 - There you go.
20:55 How do you weaken a guy?
20:56 You go downstairs, and that's what Langston did
20:59 in that punishing fifth round against Dante Benjamin,
21:01 and that sets up an overhand right from Langston
21:04 here in the sixth round.
21:05 - See, you manage your energy, you start feeling it,
21:10 and now you're starting to see Langston come on.
21:12 He's still strong.
21:14 You know, Benjamin hasn't given him
21:18 anything to worry about yet.
21:19 So that's why he's directly in his face now
21:22 and testing the young man's conditioning.
21:25 - The difference is both of Langston's eighth rounders
21:28 went the distance, and he's been the sixth round distance
21:31 three times as a pro, and we've seen that this is
21:36 Dante Benjamin's fourth consecutive sixth rounder.
21:38 He's never been the full distance
21:40 in three scheduled sixth rounders before.
21:43 So this is uncharted territory.
21:44 - It's uncharted territory,
21:45 but it's good learning experience for him.
21:48 - You know?
21:49 - Wow, nice work there from Langston,
21:51 just letting his ants go.
21:52 And you see the eye now almost closed,
21:54 that right eye of Langston could be trouble.
21:57 A left hook from Dante Benjamin Jr. that he does not see,
22:01 but he sees enough to know that his body's right there.
22:05 When you look up at the clock like Benjamin did,
22:07 (laughing)
22:09 you win it.
22:09 - Man, I ain't look at the clock like that, man.
22:13 I just fought, man.
22:15 You know, you just fight.
22:16 You can't be worried about the clock and how you feel.
22:19 You got a man in there that's trying to take your head off.
22:21 You need to react and you need to do something
22:24 to get him up off of you.
22:25 You starting to see Benjamin starting to become punch-weary.
22:29 - These are great rounds.
22:31 - Mouth is wide open.
22:32 You see him breathing heavy.
22:33 And Langston putting that pressure on him.
22:36 - It's that body work from the fifth round,
22:38 and he continues to go down,
22:40 and you see immediately how the basket defense
22:43 of Dante Benjamin trying to avoid
22:45 that punishment downstairs.
22:47 - Mm-hmm.
22:47 Nice quick counter as Benjamin commits to the body
22:51 with a stab jab, and Langston comes over the top.
22:54 Time to dig deep for Dante Benjamin Jr.
23:01 because that's exactly what William Langston is doing here
23:04 in the final round.
23:14 Both corners calling for their fighters to finish strong
23:17 and dig deep.
23:18 Let's see who does it.
23:19 Last two rounds were very good for William Langston.
23:23 Did Benjamin bank enough during the first four?
23:29 And he just got a bloody nose,
23:31 and William Langston put him to work tonight,
23:35 and Dante Benjamin, his undefeated record,
23:39 is on the line in his eighth professional fight.
23:41 As you see the dot come in and check out that bloody nose
23:44 from Dante Benjamin.
23:45 Langston celebrating because he put in
23:53 a workman-like performance tonight, made the kid work.
23:56 - Hey, he feels like he got this.
23:58 (laughs)
23:59 You would think that Benjamin would be up on the ropes
24:02 celebrating, but I'm sure he didn't like
24:04 his performance tonight.
24:05 It was all right.
24:06 He had a decent performance.
24:07 I don't know who's gonna win this match.
24:08 I really don't.
24:09 I think Benjamin might've swept the earlier rounds,
24:12 but the last two rounds looked to me
24:14 was clearly Langston's rounds.
24:17 But great match.
24:19 It was a great match.
24:19 Perfect matchup for Benjamin in his career right now,
24:23 because now he can go back to the draw board.
24:25 He has some things to work on.
24:27 He knows that, and conditioning is one of them.
24:29 Sitting directly in front of his opponent
24:31 is another thing he needs to do.
24:32 He needs to get back on his jab.
24:34 There's a lot of things that you could take from this.
24:37 I'm really surprised.
24:41 I honestly thought he was a little further on than this.
24:45 But yeah, I did.
24:46 I really thought that he was a little further on.
24:48 That's why it's very important,
24:50 very important for you to go rounds,
24:53 especially early in your career.
24:54 - I mean, but you get a guy in Langston
24:56 who's only got 11 professional fights
24:58 to Dante Benjamin Jr's seven.
25:00 We talked about he's been matched up.
25:02 - Yes.
25:02 - And that came to show tonight
25:05 because he was not intimidated by Dante Benjamin.
25:07 His power, and when he came in,
25:11 he says, "Okay, I got something for you."
25:12 May came a little bit later.
25:14 So here the question is, does Benjamin get the win?
25:16 Is it a draw?
25:17 Did Langston pull it off?
25:19 Mark Chinook is the only man who knows.
25:21 (bell ringing)
25:25 - Ladies and gentlemen, after six rounds
25:27 here inside the Pearl Concert Theater
25:29 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas,
25:32 we go to the judges' scorecards for the official decision.
25:35 Ricardo Ocasio scores the bout 58-56
25:40 in favor of Langston.
25:42 Patricia Morris Jarman and Dave Moretti
25:44 both have it 57-57,
25:47 declaring this bout a majority draw.
25:50 - No problem with the draw.
25:53 - I'm trying to tell you.
25:54 I'm trying to tell you.
25:56 You know, a lot of close rounds,
25:58 a lot of rounds that could have went to swing rounds
