00:00 And then, a premiership rooster, how does it feel today?
00:04 Awesome, awesome.
00:05 It's been a long journey, obviously.
00:08 Started at Port Ferry, spent a couple of years
00:11 just on the hill here at Creek, and then finally
00:13 at the roosters.
00:15 My partner went to the roosters and just--
00:17 [CHEERING]
00:19 --and loved it.
00:20 So it was a pretty simple decision for me to come over,
00:23 and it's paid dividends.
00:25 The club's been amazing.
00:27 So yeah, I just come along for the journey, pretty much.
00:30 Obviously, you were kind of the proposed premiership players
00:33 today.
00:33 What's that like to go six years?
00:35 Oh, that's amazing.
00:36 You know, I sat back and watched last year
00:38 and watched her win one, and all the celebrations
00:41 that she enjoyed that we're about to go through together.
00:43 So bring on the next four or five days, week,
00:46 whatever it is.
00:48 Can't wait.
00:49 Festival of Grand Performance, how do you feel out there?
00:53 And what did you just look to contribute to the team
00:55 and obviously do so well?
00:57 Yeah, well, I think I started all right in the first quarter,
00:59 and then was pretty quiet through the middle.
01:02 Then Jett Birmingham got off the leash a little bit.
01:04 So I sort of put my hand up and said, oh, I
01:06 wanted that match up.
01:07 And I had a couple of balls fall in my lap for those goals,
01:11 and it panned out well for us.
01:15 But the best on ground stuff, you
01:17 give that up for a premiership every day of the week.
01:19 So it's a huge team effort, and couldn't be happier.
01:22 Yeah, how's it been just settling into Southend,
01:26 speaking to some people, the under-18 boys,
01:29 to be like, they're helping out at the trainings.
01:32 What's that like, just being involved in the club
01:35 and giving back in that way as well?
01:36 Yeah, well, as you said, Carly was here last year
01:39 and loved it.
01:40 And every time I came and watched her,
01:42 the club just embraced me.
01:43 I had nothing to do with them, but they embraced me.
01:46 And my little daughter, my daughter, I take her
01:50 to the game, and then I don't see her
01:51 until the end of the game sort of thing.
01:53 She's in the canteen with the ladies, working in the canteen.
01:56 And the whole club's just embraced us as a whole.
01:59 So yeah, I can't thank the club enough.
