South Warrnambool's Paddy Anderson speaks after his side's 2024 Hampden league senior football preliminary final win against Terang Mortlake.
Transcript
00:00Alright, I'm joined by Paddy Anderson. Mate, pre-lim win today, strong win, you must be happy with that.
00:05Yeah, very happy. The boys played well. We played a solid run, a lot of effort, so happy with the result.
00:11And happy with how you responded from last week, obviously?
00:13Yeah, definitely. It was a tough game last week. We probably got beaten early. North played a good round of footy.
00:19Yeah, it'll be good to get them again next week and try to turn the result around.
00:23And what do you reckon you guys did well today that helped you get the win?
00:26I thought we defended well first. I thought we won the contest and just got our game going.
00:32Just plenty of run and yeah, got the ball going forward.
00:36And do you reckon having this game going into the grand final might help, work in your favour?
00:40Oh, hopefully. It's a bit different to last year. We had a few underdone boys coming into the final series,
00:46so if you get a couple of games under the belt, hopefully it holds us in good stead for the final.
00:50And I'm sure the belief will be pretty high going into another grand final against the same team as last year?
00:54Yeah, definitely. I couldn't be any more confident in that group. We've always got to back the group in.
00:58And yeah, I definitely do.
01:01Sounds good. Thanks for that, buddy.
