00:00 >> Yeah, I mean, it's been one of our focal points.
00:04 We haven't been the best at getting the ball into the end zone when we got down
00:07 to the red zone.
00:08 I think we were six to six tonight when we did get down to the red zone.
00:11 So, I mean, it's just a testament to how we practiced and
00:14 one of our focal points here.
00:15 >> It's a bit of a full circle moment for you, right?
00:17 You had your first touchdown against UAB a couple years ago.
00:20 Did it make it special tonight?
00:21 300 yards, the attention?
00:23 >> A little bit, I guess, yeah.
00:24 I mean, I didn't throw my first, I forgot I was in my sophomore year.
00:28 Yeah, no, it's cool definitely to circle back by the same team and
00:32 start this time and everything.
00:33 >> No disrespect to the opponent, but how did the offense play tonight?
00:37 >> I thought we played really well.
00:38 And it's nothing to do with the opponent.
00:40 Every single time that we step out on the field, we don't think that it's about
00:43 the opponent, it's not about the defense.
00:45 I thought they played really hard.
00:46 They had a good plan against us.
00:47 We just executed.
00:48 >> Brock, nine catches, over 120, those two touchdowns.
00:51 When did you see that first touch out then?
00:54 >> I mean, yeah, he's an animal.
00:56 We try to get the ball in his hands.
00:58 We did a good job tonight at getting him open and, like I said,
01:02 getting the ball in his hands if he makes plays after he does that.
01:05 >> What would you credit the Red Zone's success to today?
01:07 I know you talked a little bit about it, but
01:08 specifically what did you guys have success with today?
01:10 >> I mean, once you get down in the Red Zone, you gotta be able to run the ball.
01:12 I mean, that's the biggest part.
01:14 When you can punch it in and you don't have to throw it cuz the field gets more
01:17 condensed, it's harder to throw the ball.
01:19 So if you can run the ball and the offensive line is moving,
01:21 I just give credit to that.
01:23 >> So you spread the ball a lot.
01:24 I think the first drive, a bunch of guys had one recept for me.
01:27 It's a part of the game plan, it was just it was open at the time.
01:30 >> Yeah, it's just how it works.
01:30 I mean, I feel like that's kind of how it's been the whole entire year.
01:34 Like I've always said, whoever's out on the field,
01:36 we fully expect them to make plays.
01:38 We have confidence in all of them.
01:39 So it's just how the reef goes.
01:41 >> One month into the season, the direction the offense is headed.
01:44 >> Yeah, absolutely.
01:45 We obviously have far ways to go.
01:47 We're still trying to find our identity and what that is.
01:49 But I think that we're picking up steam and we're starting to start building
01:52 chemistry and just figuring out who we are as an offense.
01:54 >> Do you think you got closer to finding that identity tonight?
01:57 >> Absolutely, it was definitely a start on the road next week in the SEC at Auburn.
02:02 Super excited about that.
02:04 I think it'll be a good test for us and
02:05 another chance for us to start to kind of find our identity.
02:08 >> How much, you do four games,
02:09 how has your relationship developed with Mike Monroe this season?
02:13 >> It's been good, obviously.
02:14 I mean, new OC, new quarterback.
02:16 So just trying to find that gel and find that match between the two of us.
02:19 Figure out things I like, what he likes.
02:21 It'll continue to go through the season, hopefully continue to improve.
02:23 >> How much comfort do you find with each other in the rock out there?
02:26 You're so close, constantly.
02:28 >> Yeah, I mean, he's like a safety net.
02:30 He's such a good player.
02:33 I'm definitely glad he's on our team and not a coach's team.
02:36 >> How do you feel about going on the road next week?
02:38 First, we're gonna be at home.
02:39 What do you think it'll be like in your first little test this season?
02:42 >> Yeah, I mean, it's always a little bit different as far as going on the road
02:45 cuz it's a different schedule.
02:46 We have to travel, get on a plane.
02:48 I think we'll handle it well.
02:49 We'll get in there on Sunday and start preparing.
02:52 >> Carson, walk me through the deep balls today.
02:54 I think Barry dropped one, he might have missed one.
02:56 What was going on in the deep ball today?
02:58 How much do you feel like you did?
02:59 >> Yeah, I mean, we took our shots, we took our chances.
03:02 I think on both drives where we did end up missing them,
03:04 I mean, we ended up coming back from it scoring.
03:07 It's just like Kirby always says, moment by moment, whatever happens, happens.
03:10 So just the next play mentality.
03:11 >> Mark is like a little kid.
03:12 He's gonna rock.
