00:00 need to start with the offensive line.
00:01 It just, it brings tears of joy to my eyes watching the hurricanes
00:06 bully the opposition in the trenches, right?
00:08 They deserve this O-line deserves another steak dinner from Tyler Van Dyke.
00:13 The running backs can chip in, pay some of that tab as well in pass protection.
00:18 They kept Van Dyke's Jersey completely clean, zero sacks allowed.
00:22 And overall, they only gave up three tackles for a loss in the game
00:26 and only one TFL in the running game.
00:29 So everything's moving forward with the push that offensive line gets.
00:32 Uh, and yes, good pass protection, but the run blocking is really what stole
00:36 the show on Saturday against Temple.
00:38 That O-line paved the way for 323 team rushing yards.
00:43 Miami averaged 7.7 yards per carry.
00:47 Now I give the running backs credit and Henry Parrish, we'll
00:50 talk about him, had a career day.
00:52 You know, they were getting extra yards, shaking tackles, breaking
00:57 tackles, spin moves at the second level.
01:00 But at the same time, the holes were wide open, right?
01:05 The offensive line did an excellent job setting the table
01:08 for a successful running game.
01:10 Matt Lee and Jalen Rivers specifically were the O-line men who graded out the
01:14 highest, but all five did their jobs very well, um, you know, really one thing I
01:20 could nitpick was JV on Cohen committed a penalty that was frustrating, but.
01:25 You know, other than that, the offensive line was nearly perfect.
01:28 I love CC Maui Noah, the true freshmen getting downfield quickly
01:32 and blocking at the second level.
01:34 He enjoys downfield blocking and.
01:36 It's not even just the five offensive linemen because, you know, so far, um,
01:41 that we still haven't seen Elijah Arroyo this year, but the way Miami
01:44 has been using their tight ends, they've been extra offensive linemen
01:49 and they've been doing a darn good job of that because Cam McCormick.
01:53 We knew coming in, transferring in from Oregon, that he was one of the top
01:56 graded blocking tight ends in the entire country he has lived up to that so far.
02:01 And the true freshmen, Riley Williams, he was on the field a lot.
02:05 And number 88 was blocking really, really well.
02:07 He was opening up some holes.
02:09 So I took notice of that as well.
02:10 So they become an extension of the offensive line.
02:13 They did a darn good job with that.
02:15 Um, and yes, the running backs.
02:17 Let's start with Henry Parrish.
02:20 Henry Parrish was the best of the committee yesterday, and
02:24 he had himself a career day.
02:25 16 carries 139 rushing yards, two touchdowns scored.
02:31 And the team average at 7.7 yards per carry was awesome.
02:36 Parrish was a point above that 8.7 yards per carry for Henry Parrish.
02:41 Now he did leave the game banged up in the third quarter.
02:44 Uh, so, you know, we were all obviously worried about Parrish Mario
02:48 Christobal after the game said he seems to be fine, Tyler
02:51 Van Dyke said the same thing.
02:52 So, um, based on the limited Intel we have on Parrish, um,
02:57 seems like he'll probably be okay.
02:59 Remember Miami has the bi-week coming up Georgia tech in two weeks.
03:03 Hopefully he's okay.
03:03 The next time the hurricanes take the field, the bi-week
03:06 comes at a perfect time for him.
03:07 Um, now injury wise center, Matt Lee also left the game actually on the same
03:14 possession that Parrish left the game.
03:15 But Christobal also said that Matt Lee looks fine.
03:18 So I think he's going to be okay.
03:19 That's somebody hurricanes can not afford to lose, but going
03:22 back to the running backs.
03:23 Parrish was the star of that backfield.
03:26 Don Chaney had good moments as well.
03:28 He started the game.
03:29 He was productive 61 yards on nine carries for Chaney.
03:33 Mark Fletcher came back from injury.
03:35 He had 51 yards on 11 carries.
03:38 We saw Christopher Johnson make a cameo for the second straight game.
03:42 He came in in the fourth quarter, had four carries for 33 yards
03:45 looking blazing fast as always.
03:47 And, uh, funny enough, uh, for the good jobs, the running backs were
03:52 doing the longest carry of the game.
03:54 Was by your quarterback, Tyler Van Dyke on a 37 yard keeper
03:59 on Miami second scoring drive.
04:02 That was the longest run of Tyler Van Dyke's career.
04:04 You can see why I call him Tyler Van Vic.
