00:00 about that passing game in Miami's 41 to 7 win against the Temple Owls.
00:04 Tyler Van Dyke, I mentioned he's really become a true general
00:08 running this offense.
00:10 He's very comfortable in Shannon Dawson's kind of hybrid air
00:13 raid power running scheme.
00:16 Van Dyke, you can see he's throwing receivers open.
00:20 The ball placement has been on point.
00:22 I talked a lot about that with Malik Rozier, former Hurricanes
00:26 QB one in our postgame show last night, and Malik has worked one on one
00:29 with Tyler Van Dyke as well.
00:30 So he's pretty in tune with what TVD does.
00:33 So TVD's numbers on the day 17 for 24.
00:37 220 yards passing, three touchdowns, goose egg of interceptions, zero interceptions.
00:44 And out of his seven incompletions, three of his incompletions were considered drops.
00:51 I think the wet conditions in Philadelphia had some effect there.
00:55 Henry Parrish had a couple of drops.
00:57 Ray Ray Joseph had a drop.
00:59 So if you take drops into account, I think Van Dyke would have had like
01:04 83.3% like true completions, like on the ones that were not his
01:09 fault that they weren't caught.
01:10 So he had another super efficient day, did Tyler Van Dyke.
01:15 And this was a pretty cool stat how Van Dyke, he did a great job getting rid of
01:20 the football quickly and decisively.
01:22 And this is something that happens when you know your offense so well,
01:26 frontwards and backwards, and when your receivers are running their routes
01:29 crisply, because yes, the offensive line has done an awesome job protecting him.
01:34 But he's doing a really good job getting rid of the football so fast that it
01:39 makes him even harder to sack Van Dyke's average release time against
01:44 Temple was just 1.84 seconds.
01:46 That's lightning quick.
01:47 And this is my favorite stat for Van Dyke so far this year.
01:51 And he's off to a, you know, I'm not going to say he's off to a Heisman
01:56 trophy pace, but he's like off to a pace of, this is a guy you need to watch.
02:00 Like when you're talking about, okay, who could the finalists in New
02:03 York be at the end of the year?
02:04 Tyler Van Dyke is a guy who's on your radar right now.
02:07 He's got plenty of opportunities with games like Florida state and Clemson
02:10 and North Carolina still on the schedule.
02:12 He has opportunities to have his moments to prove whether or not he belongs in
02:16 New York at the end of the year.
02:17 Uh, but his numbers are certainly on pace for that.
02:20 Van Dyke now has 11 touchdown passes to just one interception on the year.
02:25 He's on a three game streak with zero interceptions thrown.
02:28 Uh, Van Dyke, I don't know what the updated season grades are, but he entered
02:34 the game Saturday with the highest pro football focus grade on the team.
02:40 Um, or he entered a highest on the season, I should say with quarterbacks
02:45 at a 94 overall grade, and he did grade out highest yesterday with an 87.9.
02:51 So I don't know, you know, once they redo those grades of Tyler, still the top
02:54 quarterback in the country with that.
02:56 Uh, I don't know, but, um, I loved some of TVD's throws the 39 yard deep ball.
03:02 He threw to Jacoby George, perfect amount of air under the football.
03:05 Uh, I love the throw and catch to Colby young on the deep touchdown.
03:09 That was very well placed by Tyler and Colby young did a great job getting
03:13 vertical and high pointing the football.
03:15 And it was also nice to see his favorite target, Xavier Restrepo get his first
03:21 two touchdowns on the year because X had had consecutive 120 plus yard
03:27 receiving games coming into this one, but he hadn't gotten into the end zone yet.
03:30 And he got two of them today, including the touchdown
03:33 that opened the game from Miami.
03:34 So it was nice seeing X get into the end zone.
03:37 It was also nice seeing Ray Ray Joseph getting involved later in the game on
03:41 a couple of gadget type play, showing off his speed, catching a couple of pitches.
03:45 So that was good.
03:47 Yeah.
03:47 Yeah.
03:52 Yeah.
