00:00 What was it like to see the defense compliment you guys offensively?
00:02 It was awesome.
00:04 They were outstanding today.
00:05 You know, applied a bunch of pressure, made great open field tackles.
00:09 You know, they just played really solid football.
00:12 And, you know, we see that at practice every day.
00:15 Those guys fly around.
00:16 They play really good together.
00:19 You know, it's exciting to see those guys have a game like they do.
00:22 Dan, so you called a couple of the touchdowns.
00:24 Which ones did you call?
00:25 There was a few.
00:26 You know, I think it was one of the passes in the run.
00:31 It's not really calling.
00:32 It's just asking me which play I like and I just go with it.
00:35 And, ironically, most of the time Coach Stein and I are thinking pretty much the same thing.
00:40 So, we're just in tune together.
00:42 And I think we're just doing a lot of really good things offensively.
00:46 Dan called you the best quarterback in the country.
00:48 Do you feel like you're playing at that kind of level right now?
00:50 Yeah, I think there's, you know, obviously a lot that I can clean up.
00:53 You know, I want to demand perfection for myself and I didn't get that today.
00:58 But at the same time, you know, we put ourselves in great situations to succeed.
01:02 And, obviously, there's every game I've ever played, there's one or two that I've always wanted back.
01:07 But, you know, it's those that you learn from.
01:10 You get better.
01:11 But at the end of the day, you know, our ultimate goal is to win.
01:13 And, you know, that's what we did.
01:15 Coach said all week, you know, play the game, not the moment, whatever the quote was exactly.
01:19 How do you guys feel like you did that today?
01:20 I think we did exceptional, you know, from the start.
01:22 We were prepared.
01:24 We knew the moment was going to be, you know, really big.
01:27 We knew the occasion was going to be really big.
01:29 But, you know, we just wanted to go out there and play, you know, ourselves.
01:32 We felt like we had still yet to play a complete game as a team.
01:36 And, you know, we're going to continue to still work that way.
01:40 So many people watching this game, a lot of attention on this game.
01:43 What does this win say about just your guys' team this season?
01:46 I think we got a really good ball club.
01:48 I think we're going to continue to work to get better and clean up some deficiencies we have.
01:53 But, you know, I think just with momentum and with confidence, this was a huge game for us.
01:57 Coach says he wants substance and not flash pregame.
02:01 You win 42-6 and nearly had a shutout.
02:03 And you performed the way you did.
02:05 What do you feel is the substance?
02:07 What is the identity of this team this season?
02:09 I think our connection is really elite right now.
02:11 I think we're playing so well without the ball.
02:14 We're playing, you know, well as a team collectively.
02:17 We really want to see each other succeed, and I think that's valuable for a team.
02:21 And, you know, when you play like that, when you execute like that,
02:25 when you really go all in for your teammates, that's the kind of stuff that can happen.
02:28 Dan said postgame that you sent him a text this morning that was really impactful
02:32 and that you helped shape him and make him a better person.
02:35 Just that relationship between you and Dan seems like it's something super different.
02:40 Have you ever had a relationship like that with a head coach?
02:42 You know, not with a head coach.
02:44 He's very, you know, relatable.
02:46 He's very easy to talk to.
02:48 He's great on game days.
02:50 He's, you know, extremely laid back.
02:53 He's a confident coach.
02:55 So every time I take the field, you know, I know he's got my back, and he knows I got his.
02:59 And so, you know, on the interception today, he immediately was the first person out there, you know, encouraging me.
03:04 And, you know, that's just the difference in games,
03:08 and that can be the difference in, you know, ultimate success down the road.
03:11 But, you know, we have a group message with, you know, a lot of us, and he's in it.
03:16 And so, you know, that's one of the things that, you know, I challenged kind of those guys that were in there.
03:22 And, you know, it was all about, you know, going in.
03:26 You know, you don't have to really play for anything, but the guy's next to you.
