PhilHealth continues its service after ransomware attack

Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) operation and services continue through the over-the-counter method at PhilHealth - Mother Ignacia branch in Quezon City on Tuesday, Sept. 26, after the Medusa ransomware infected their systems on Sept. 22, wherein cyber hackers demanded $300,000 or approximately P16 million.

Members and their dependents are advised to present a copy of their PhilHealth identification card, member data record or other supporting documents to access health benefits amid the temporary shutdown of its online system. (MB Video by Mark Balmores)
