00:00 We support more resistance.
00:02 They're our brothers, they're our sisters.
00:04 We support more resistance.
00:06 They're our brothers, they're our sisters.
00:08 We support more resistance.
00:10 They're our brothers, they're our sisters.
00:12 You think about it, every American in this U.S. of A can together decide to say,
00:17 "We're not going to pay no more taxes."
00:21 [music]
00:27 I was talking to a friend of mine.
00:31 He said he don't want no wars no more.
00:34 You see, they're building bombs while our schools are falling.
00:40 Tell me, what in the hell we're paying taxes for?
00:44 Well, now what if we all stopped paying taxes?
00:48 I said, now what if we all stopped paying taxes?
00:53 Stopped paying taxes, y'all.
00:56 [music]
01:01 Get together, put our hands together, and come up with this.
01:06 Now tell me who's going to buy their bombs, their tanks, their planes, and all their guns?
01:14 Well, now tell me who's going to pay for their wars
01:19 if we all get together and just cut off all their funds?
01:23 [music]
01:47 War, as we know it, cannot be fought in some limited way.
01:52 Citizens, civilians are mobilized to either pay for it
01:56 or all of their resources used to go into either the actual fighting or the preparation.
02:03 And in the meantime, we're not seeing the civilians on the ground who are bombed,
02:08 the orphans that are made, the widows that are made, the bloodshed.
02:11 It had just all snapped into place for me.
02:14 Oh, income taxes for war. I'm against the war. Why would I pay income taxes?
02:19 So after that, it was real clear to me that I would be a war tax resister.
02:26 It's a joyous thing to do, to try to follow what you believe
02:30 and not hold onto things so much that you feel trapped.
