00:00 John, the Lions travel to Lambeau Field for week four Thursday night.
00:03 A big time contest for the Lions.
00:06 Who do you got and why?
00:07 Yeah, Vito, this is going to be a very interesting contest for the
00:11 Lions heading to Lambeau Field.
00:13 You got the Packers who are going to be very frustrated, looking to seek
00:16 revenge after what the Lions did, spoiling the end of their 2022 season,
00:21 preventing them from reaching the postseason and it's the first
00:24 division game for both squads.
00:26 I think it's going to be a situation where you look at two teams
00:30 that are going to be on short rest.
00:31 It's going to be a battle of attrition.
00:34 Who makes the fewest mistakes?
00:36 Right now, I am a little bit concerned about the elevated number of penalties
00:39 the Lions have been taking.
00:41 I think the offense has to step it up a little bit with Jameer Gibbs.
00:45 Hopefully the return of Taylor Decker and David Montgomery will spark the
00:50 offense, help keep Jared Goff clean because he took a lot of hits against the Falcons.
00:55 So I look at this contest, Vito, and it's going to be the team
00:58 that basically weathers the storm.
01:00 Thursday games, I'm not really a big fan of because the
01:02 teams are not fully rested.
01:05 You don't get the opportunity sometimes to have the best quality of football.
01:08 But Vito, when you look at how the Lions are constructed, they're a gritty
01:12 football team that have been built to grind and play and really learn how to win late.
01:18 So the key, I think is going to be obviously how the secondary responds to Jordan Love.
01:24 Do the Lions continue to pressure the quarterback at the same rate?
01:28 I think it's going to be up to Aiden Hutchinson and Charles Harris again, to
01:32 set the tone and secure a bunch of sacks and really look for the young players again.
01:37 Sam Laporta, Brian Branch, Jack Campbell, the young players on this
01:41 roster, including Jameer Gibbs, they have to step up and continue to
01:45 be the force that they have been.
01:47 It's going to take a total team effort, Vito.
01:49 It's going to be really tough.
01:50 But in the end, this is what the Lions are built for.
01:53 They're a young, gritty football team that I think is going to
01:56 be clamoring to go three and one.
01:57 So they're going to go to Lambeau Field.
01:59 The Lions have won the last three contests against the
02:02 Packers, confidence riding high.
02:03 They're going to look to win four straight against their division rivals.
02:07 This is a team whose goal is to win the division.
02:10 So when you start off in prime time against a divisional foe on Thursday
02:15 night, it's going to be very, very important to start division play with the victory.
02:20 So Vito, with everything that we've said, the Lions come away, a game that's
02:24 going to be featured on Amazon Prime, and they're going to have a prime
02:27 performance in front of the country.
02:29 Lions get the W.
02:30 John, thanks for all the time.
