00:10 [APPLAUSE]
00:18 >> Hello, this is AC Milan talk.
00:20 We're ready for a new weekly episode focusing on the going song of our
00:24 favorite team, both on and off the pitch.
00:27 Here with me today, Adriano Del Monte.
00:30 Hello, Adriano, we missed you.
00:31 >> I missed you too.
00:32 It's wonderful to be back, looking forward to it.
00:34 >> And welcome also to Sheridan Bird.
00:36 Hello, Sheridan.
00:37 >> Hi, everybody.
00:37 It's good to have Adriana back.
00:39 That's your side of the sofa.
00:40 I felt uncomfortable on there, but everything's okay now.
00:43 >> [LAUGH]
00:44 >> How's your week been from our last talk?
00:46 >> Good, some good performances on the pitch, of course.
00:49 Plenty of points, back at the top of the table.
00:52 It's been a very good time.
00:54 >> And you, Sheridan?
00:55 >> Absolutely, I concur with Adriana.
00:57 There's so much great stuff to talk about.
00:59 It's been a very positive week for the Rossoneri, so let's get stuck in.
01:03 >> A week full of massive appointments for our Rossoneri, with a lot of curiosity.
01:07 So let's start from our men's first team.
01:09 [MUSIC]
01:16 As you have already said, Adriano, our Rossoneri are at the top of the table on
01:20 pair with Inter, and Stefano Piolinski's lads, after the match won against
01:25 Las Verona, played in the midweek Serie A fixture against Calle yesterday night.
01:33 And it was a true success for them.
01:35 >> It was, and it was hard work, but the reward is there.
01:40 You can see right at the top of the table there, 15 points.
01:44 And yes, as you said, an important six points in the last couple of days.
01:47 Of course, such a busy period now with Sheridan,
01:50 basically a match every three or four days.
01:52 So it really does test the depth of the squad at these points in time.
01:57 And of course, after what was the first defeat in the season,
02:00 the first matchday of the Champions League,
02:01 it was important for Pioli's team to respond.
02:04 That they did, but what's impressed me most is that it has been some new names
02:08 now get on the score sheet.
02:09 We saw a couple of first time goal scorers against Cagliari.
02:13 And look, never easy to go away from home, but to go away from home,
02:16 concede the first goal, come from behind, and then win 3-1.
02:20 I think a very strong performance heading into the next busy period to come.
02:24 >> Yeah, I completely agree.
02:25 A real show of character.
02:27 It's not easy to play in Cagliari or to play at Cagliari in Sardegna.
02:32 Went a goal behind.
02:33 Some of the players who were in the team yesterday haven't had too much time on
02:38 the pitch, but they showed their quality.
02:40 This is Oka Ford's first goal for Milan, and it was a really fabulous finish.
02:46 It reminded me of Neymar in the World Cup against Croatia,
02:50 which wasn't too long ago.
02:51 The way he rolled the ball onto his foot and put it in the net.
02:54 And this was the second goal.
02:57 Adli with a very clever corner.
02:59 Another brilliant move.
03:01 Reinders involved.
03:03 Another new signing, and it was Fikayo Tomori.
03:05 That man making his presence felt in the opponent's penalty area.
03:10 And I'm sure we'll talk about Adli a bit later on,
03:14 because he had a chance to shine, Licia, and he absolutely took that chance.
03:18 But this for me, Adriano, was the goal of the match.
03:20 Has to be.
03:22 Probably will end up being one of the goals of the season,
03:23 but a fine hit by Loftus-Cheeky, a push playing him in there.
03:27 And another first time goal scorer, first goal for the club.
03:31 It's, look, doesn't matter how they come, whether they're a wonder goal like that
03:35 or Oka Ford's first goal making the most of an opportunity.
03:39 But those goals for these players, their confidence and now going forward,
03:42 Licia, could be absolutely crucial as the matches continue to come.
03:46 Also because Oka Ford scored his last goal on the last 5th of November.
03:51 So it's an important signal for the team and for himself.
03:55 Yeah, it's brilliant.
03:55 And I think in many ways, because Oka Ford scored his first goal,
03:59 because Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored his first.
04:03 And although Adli is not a new signing,
04:06 he had struggled a bit in his first season to make an impact.
04:09 For me, yesterday felt like the birth, the real birth of this new Milan.
04:13 We know they started the season fantastically,
04:15 winning three matches on the spin before the Derby.
04:18 But then yesterday, as I said, on the Wednesday evening in Cagliari,
04:23 a difficult place to play.
04:25 To show that character was really, really a powerful achievement,
04:28 a powerful performance.
04:29 And like I say, it almost felt like this, this is the real birth of this new team
04:34 with these 10 new signings all making an impact over the week.
04:37 So far, last night, as we say, it was a chance for Oka Ford
04:41 and for Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
04:43 But Reinders was fabulous driving through midfield.
04:46 And not only making an impact, also linking up and playing together.
04:50 We see a new signing assisting a new signing scoring.
04:54 That is just so important.
04:55 I already mentioned the depth side, Sharon.
04:57 That is going to be crucial as these matches continue to come.
05:01 But this was a few days prior.
05:03 Look at that beautiful third kit, which I didn't get to see here.
05:06 We had that kit in the studio last week.
05:09 Leisha and I enjoyed it.
05:10 I think Leisha took it home.
05:11 But no, if we focus, Oka Ford again.
05:14 He's really had a great impact.
05:16 Really powerful run from Oka Ford.
05:19 And it was just, it was really good.
05:22 It was important to get those three points again against De La Sferona.
05:26 It was important to get back to winning ways after.
05:28 And important to get back to the top of the table.
05:30 That looks very, very good.
05:31 It's not bad, is it?
05:32 It's not bad when you wake up and you notice the Milan at the top of the table.
05:35 So it's been a very positive few days in Serie A.
05:39 Talking about last night, a struggling match against Cagliari.
05:43 A face-to-face that was not an easy fixture for our Rossoneri.
05:48 But there was a very satisfied post-match reaction from our coach Stefano Pioli.
05:53 Let's listen to their words together.
05:55 It wasn't an easy match because our opponents
05:59 closed the space well for us.
06:01 They took advantage of our naivety to go to the lead.
06:06 So the match could have been complicated.
06:10 But we were good at staying sharp and keeping our style of play.
06:17 We won a difficult match, but for this reason it's very important
06:20 because it gives us continuity after the win against Verona.
06:23 There are no more new players or old players of Milan.
06:27 Milan has been working together for almost three months.
06:32 So there are changes to be made in these matches.
06:35 Maybe we can pay something immediately,
06:38 but in the long run we will earn something.
06:41 This is the fourth match in 11 days.
06:45 We will play three days, not even three days with Lazio.
06:47 Then we will play in Orto.
06:49 So it's important to have strong players,
06:51 available players, and players who keep the level high when they come on.
06:56 In the second half, Kajal had a different pace from Adli.
07:04 I think it was better to work on him with a player with the same leg.
07:10 Yassa and Younus did well.
07:13 Roups is a great player and he has to keep it up.
07:17 He has to rest too, because there are many matches after this.
07:22 I was hoping he would play a bit more,
07:24 because he was recovering.
07:26 He wasn't ready to play at the beginning, he could have played a bit more.
07:29 We'll see.
07:31 It's important to come back well.
07:32 We came back well.
07:33 It was a win on the road that could have seemed easy, but it wasn't.
07:38 We won by playing our game, so that's important.
07:41 What do you think about this war?
07:44 It's a very satisfied reaction.
07:46 Very satisfied.
07:47 I really liked what he said, Sheridan,
07:49 with regards to there are no old or new Milan players.
07:52 They are just now one squad.
07:54 He has real confidence, it's quite clear.
07:56 He has real confidence in the team.
07:59 There is some experience, some youth coming through.
08:01 He has found that balance.
08:02 As a result, the results have now come through.
08:06 This is also a Caludi team, who were promoted after last season,
08:10 but this is a Caludi team who have been mainstays in Serie A for a very long time.
08:15 Never an easy place to go to.
08:17 To come from behind, after conceding a goal,
08:20 we mentioned they were under some pressure,
08:22 particularly early on, and respond and score three.
08:25 I think plenty to take away from this result.
08:28 Yes, he seems a happy man, Mr Piaoli.
08:30 He seems really satisfied with the transfer business that the club have done with him.
08:35 He seems very happy with the signings.
08:37 As you say, he doesn't consider them new players or old players or veterans.
08:41 He just considers them his players.
08:43 Milan players, and everyone's doing their bit.
08:45 People are setting in.
08:46 Christian Pulisic there is beginning to settle in.
08:49 It's worth remembering that Pulisic set up Ruben Loftus-Cheek,
08:52 so there was another new player making a goal for a new player.
08:56 He just seems very happy with the squad he's got.
08:59 That's really important for a manager, that he feels he can trust everyone.
09:02 If someone has to drop out because of an injury or a suspension,
09:06 he knows that he can pick someone else to fill their spot,
09:08 and they will deliver, which they did in Sardinia.
09:12 I like the fact that he says there are no new, no old, we are just one.
09:16 But the reality is, they are still in their early stages.
09:19 There is still so much development, progression and cohesion to come.
09:25 So this is still a team that are growing,
09:28 and a team for me that will only get better,
09:30 which I think is exciting for Milan fans.
09:32 Many important characters last night,
09:36 but also Yesenia De Lee, who was a big player against Claudio Ranieri's side.
09:43 So here is an interview in his post-match.
09:48 Well, it was a game that we approached well.
09:52 We knew it was going to be a difficult game,
09:55 because away from home, we know we are also at risk of their restart.
10:03 We started well, they scored a goal on a shot,
10:09 so we were down, but we kept playing.
10:13 We played well, we scored two goals after their goal.
10:19 So, well, we won, and that's the most important thing.
10:23 It's just football, I was focused, because you need concentration,
10:26 but I tried to have fun, to play well, to play with my teammates.
10:34 It went well, so I'm happy.
10:37 I always tried to work well, the coach always helped me,
10:42 he gave me a lot of advice to play this game.
10:47 So I'm happy, but it's just the beginning, there's nothing extraordinary.
10:53 I wanted to show that I'm here and that I can be a solution.
10:58 So I'm happy, after the coach makes his choices, I'm always available for him.
11:03 He showed some great skills and things worked out over time.
11:10 He also talked about the great relationship with his coach.
11:14 Patience, quality and character were my takeaways from this match.
11:21 You have to be happy for him, he put in a solid performance,
11:23 he had to be patient and wait for his time.
11:25 But again, this depth that we always speak about, Sheridan,
11:28 a player can come in like that, still speak very positively about his time at the club,
11:33 without having had as many minutes as he would have hoped,
11:35 but to perform in that fashion, hopefully a sign of more to come.
11:38 Yes, it was a difficult first season for Yassin Adli,
11:41 he didn't start as many matches as he perhaps would have liked to,
11:45 but he worked hard, he kept working in training,
11:47 and Mr Piolli knows about his qualities.
11:50 When he signed, there was some pressure on his shoulders,
11:53 we mustn't forget he wears the number 7, which is a big number for Milan.
11:57 Some of the older viewers might remember Donnadoni, I believe, wore that number,
12:01 Andriy Shevchenko wore the number 7,
12:03 Aleksandr Pato wore that number, so it's an important number.
12:06 So there was a lot of expectation, and the first season was difficult,
12:10 but yesterday, or the match against Cagliari, Mr Piolli gave him a chance,
12:15 set him up as a kind of playmaker in midfield, and he played really well.
12:19 So hopefully that can be a springboard, that can be the beginning,
12:23 the ignition for Yassin Adli's career in red and black.
12:27 We're close to the weekend, and so we are going to play against a very important team,
12:33 we are obviously talking about Lazio, what should we expect against the Bianco Celestini?
12:38 This is a tough one, obviously Lazio, high-profile opponent,
12:42 but in recent seasons, the record at San Siro against this opponent has been very nice.
12:47 Very nice, unbeaten for quite some time, but a Lazio team that must be respected,
12:51 a Lazio team, Sheridan, that have already won this season at Napoli.
12:56 That wasn't very easy for any club last season, both in Europe and in Italy,
13:01 so a team that needs to be respected, but I do feel off the back of this last week,
13:07 some strong wins, I do feel that that momentum continues,
13:10 but of course a lot for Mr Piolli to juggle, because there is Champions League coming as well,
13:15 but another nice test, San Siro, 6pm local time, Saturday evening,
13:20 another sell-out, a lot to look forward to,
13:22 and I think this is another opportunity to take that next step forward.
13:26 Yes, it's a treat at aperitivo time in the city, isn't it?
13:30 Lazio, under their coach Maurizio Sarri, are playing some really good football.
13:35 Mr Sarri is trying to transplant the style he had at Napoli to the capital,
13:40 and it hasn't always been difficult, but when it clicks, they're a very good team,
13:44 and I think it will be another challenge.
13:46 I think it will be a tactical challenge for Mr Piolli,
13:49 but with the new recruits, we don't call them new players,
13:52 we call them the new recruits for Milan, starting to really gel and get to grips with Serie A,
13:58 I think there's plenty of reason, plenty of cause for optimism for this match,
14:02 but it won't be simple against the men from the capital.
14:05 It won't be simple, but I think the right opponent heading into a Champions League week,
14:10 you want a nice tough encounter against a team,
14:13 Lazio winning against Torino in the recent round,
14:16 so this is, for me, I like this opponent in the lead-up to a trip to Dortmund,
14:21 which of course will be another interesting one,
14:23 and how much football to come, very exciting time.
14:26 Simon Kier reached his 100th appearance in Rossonero,
14:31 a particular magic ceremony at Milanello, let's relive that moment together.
14:36 Hello everyone,
14:47 the other day I had a chat with my dad.
14:52 When I was 19 years old I went to Italy, to Palermo,
14:56 and my dream was always to play for Milan.
15:00 Now I'm here,
15:03 every day I drive from Milan to here,
15:08 for me it's a special road every day.
15:11 I'm very proud to be here, especially with you.
15:16 It was a dream, and Milan will always be my dream.
15:20 Thanks everyone.
15:21 What do you think about his start of the new season?
15:33 He was a particularly important player in specific matches for Stefano Pioli.
15:38 Yes, because of his age, Simon can't play every match,
15:41 he can't play two matches a week,
15:43 and that's understandable, age comes to us all,
15:46 but when he is called upon by Mr Pioli,
15:48 he's excellent, he's tidy, he's neat,
15:51 he's not as quick as he once was,
15:52 so he has to play on positional sense,
15:55 he has to play with his brain so to speak,
15:57 and he just, as you can see there,
15:59 he knows where the ball is going to be,
16:00 he always knows where his opponent is,
16:03 and he's got to that stage in his career now,
16:05 where he's not a regular for every match,
16:07 but if he gets the call, if his name is on the team sheet,
16:10 for the starting eleven,
16:12 you know that you'll get a dependable performance from Simon Kier,
16:16 because he's just so experienced, so wise,
16:19 not as fast as some of the younger players,
16:22 but he knows exactly what to do,
16:24 and it's so valuable to have a man like that in your squad.
16:28 For me, he would have to be one of the more underrated players in world football,
16:33 and what he's done for AC Milan in the four or five years that he's been at the club,
16:38 cannot be discounted,
16:39 I think he has played an enormous role in shoring up the defence,
16:44 but this club on and off the pitch,
16:47 because when he arrived, it was a Milan team that were still in transition,
16:52 building towards what ultimately became the Scudetto a couple of seasons ago,
16:56 and I think he has played as big a role, particularly on the pitch,
17:00 as anyone who's worn a Milan shirt.
17:03 In fact, I was actually at his very first game,
17:06 when he made the dream move, as he touched on there, to Milan,
17:10 if my memory serves me well, Sheridan,
17:12 it was January 2020 in a Coppa Italia match against Torino,
17:15 and I was there,
17:17 and I recall speaking to a few Milan fans,
17:20 he'd made the move and was quickly in the team sheets,
17:22 and I recall a few Milan fans not even being aware of the fact that he had signed,
17:26 and that memory never lost me,
17:28 because I watched the Milan fans covering the matches up close and personal,
17:32 how quickly they started to fall in love with this player,
17:36 he played with his heart and soul,
17:37 and he hasn't stopped doing that,
17:39 so while age now may not be on his side,
17:41 he still plays with that same grit, that same determination,
17:44 and I really do feel that Simon Chier has been one of the key pillars
17:48 of all Milan's success and growth in recent seasons.
17:51 On Saturday evening, there is Lazio at San Siro Stadium,
17:55 and then another action for the Champions League.
18:00 We have to take into account that our scenario,
18:03 we play in front of the Borussia Dortmund's yellow wall,
18:08 the crown jewel of German football.
18:10 This is exciting.
18:12 This is, well, the two upcoming trips, Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain,
18:16 this is why you want to play in these competitions,
18:19 but you are right, Licia, that yellow wall can be very intimidating,
18:22 it's intimidating to work on the pitch there, Sheridan, you get scared,
18:25 but as a player, look, it's exciting,
18:27 and of course, there is some history between the two clubs,
18:30 but this is a wonderful match,
18:32 but a match, Sheridan, which obviously after the drop points on match day one,
18:36 - a lot of... - It was the most recent...
18:39 Some time ago, of course, there are people in Zaghi,
18:41 and look, these are the meetings, as you see here,
18:45 some of the legends of this great club,
18:47 there is Andriy Shevchenko, of course,
18:49 Sheridan, you mentioned earlier,
18:51 but these are the iconic meetings and moments
18:53 that you play for these big clubs in,
18:55 and hopefully come Tuesday evening,
18:59 another famous story for Milan...
19:00 Also, it's worth remembering that this is the season
19:03 when Milan won the Champions League in 2003,
19:06 - at Old Trafford, so it might be... - 20 years ago.
19:09 Yeah, I was hardly born, but yeah,
19:12 it might be a good luck charm to play Dortmund again,
19:16 because it brought luck last time,
19:18 and it will be a tough match,
19:19 Dortmund are a very athletic, very physical, very strong team,
19:23 and they'll pose a different kind of challenge,
19:25 but that's what you want from the Champions League,
19:26 you love the Champions League,
19:28 because it takes you to incredible grounds,
19:30 with passionate atmospheres,
19:32 and you play teams that have a different style to what you are used to,
19:34 so it's got all the ingredients to be a cracking match.
19:37 They are very good at home, Dortmund,
19:38 but domestically this season, so-so.
19:41 Their performances have been there,
19:42 they did drop points against Heidenheim,
19:44 a newly promoted team in the Bundesliga,
19:47 they were up 2-0, they conceded late,
19:49 they have been a little susceptible,
19:51 so there is an opportunity, a big opportunity for Milan here
19:54 to target maximum points,
19:57 continue the good form that we saw against Newcastle on matchday one,
20:00 hopefully this time around to convert with some goals
20:02 and come away with the maximum result.
20:05 That's all for Pioli's squad, let's move on to the Rossoneri.
20:09 After a week off,
20:18 it's time for the next appointment on the pitch against Napoli.
20:22 Sheridan, I would like to start with you,
20:23 because I know you love Naples City.
20:26 Oh, well, yes, absolutely, I can't deny it.
20:30 I can't deny it, but when it comes to football
20:33 and women's football in Italy, it's the Rossoneri,
20:36 only the Rossoneri.
20:37 For me, Mr Gans is a fabulous team,
20:40 and it will be a tough match,
20:42 and it will be a good chance for the Rossoneri
20:44 to bounce back after the match against AS Roma,
20:48 but as we say very often, the quality is there,
20:52 the team is there, the belief is growing,
20:54 it should be a good match,
20:56 it will be good for the ladies to be back in action
20:59 after the international break.
21:01 It's tough that, isn't it, after just one round of action,
21:04 international break, get back into it, of course.
21:07 You mentioned responding from the opening match day,
21:09 but against the defending champions in Roma,
21:12 really matching them for large parts of the match
21:15 and eventually going down 4-2,
21:16 but a really inspired performance on the opening match day,
21:20 and coming up now, you saw it was 2-2,
21:22 so certainly in it for the best part of an hour,
21:25 and then Roma a couple of goals later on,
21:27 winning it 4-2 in the end,
21:29 but coming up here against, well,
21:33 a town that you do like, but of course,
21:34 we are in the Milan camp here, Sheridan,
21:36 but against the Napoli team that lost to Cornwall
21:38 in the opening day, yeah, three points certainly.
21:42 - It'll be good to get, I expect the match to be,
21:45 well, by definition, Roma are the champions,
21:47 I expect the match to be a bit more simple for Milan,
21:50 of course, there's no guarantees in football,
21:53 but I expect the Rossoneri to give a good performance,
21:55 and we hope they take the three points,
21:58 I mean, they were very good against Roma,
22:00 and they shocked Roma, but then Roma had another gear,
22:03 and sort of, you know,
22:04 returned the result to a victory for them,
22:06 but that's what champions do,
22:07 but against Napoli, I'm cautiously optimistic.
22:11 - And of course, a lot of players are away
22:12 on the international break as well,
22:13 not the case for Napoli, that can always be a factor,
22:16 so for Faganz and his team,
22:18 important to ensure the players are fresh,
22:21 ready to go, and yeah,
22:22 an important three points up for grabs.
22:24 - Dori Marinelli has already scored against Napoli
22:27 in the 2021, and also Valentina Cernuoia,
22:32 but with two different jerseys,
22:34 so she could get the third one.
22:37 - That would be good.
22:38 - It would be good, you know,
22:38 it doesn't matter who scores,
22:40 it's important that someone scores for Milan,
22:42 and, you know, I'm quietly, I'm cautiously optimistic.
22:46 - So, that's all for our women,
22:49 let's move on with our under-19s.
22:52 (upbeat music)
22:55 (crowd cheering)
22:58 - In Primavera 1, our Rossoneri are keeping up
23:03 their winning streak, with great results also
23:06 against Juventus in the last big match, Sheridan.
23:10 - It's a pleasure to watch them this season,
23:11 it's been a start to the campaign,
23:15 I think beyond even Mr. Abate,
23:17 the manager's wildest dreams, look at that,
23:20 never hurts to be top of the table
23:22 with 12 points from four matches,
23:24 that's four wins on the spin, against Juventus,
23:28 it was quite a evenly matched beginning to the match,
23:32 and then Milan just exploded into life,
23:35 and they're playing so well, every department is working,
23:38 the defense is solid, not conceding goals,
23:40 the attackers are scoring, the wingers,
23:42 Scotti, Sia, Hugo Cuenca, this is against Juventus,
23:46 this was about the 43rd minute, just before half time,
23:50 Alessandro Bonomi, I believe, scored,
23:53 and then two minutes later,
23:54 well that's the replay of the goal,
23:56 which is a very good finish, Adria,
23:57 I'm sure you'll agree.
23:59 - Enjoyed that one, Sheridan, quite a lot,
24:00 he scores again, doesn't he?
24:01 - Two minutes later, it was Sia,
24:04 it was Diego Sia, with a very clever finish,
24:07 oh sorry, Filippo Scotti, they're also good,
24:10 I get them muddled up, but he made it 2-0,
24:12 and then two minutes later,
24:14 so this is all before half time,
24:16 this was in a space of about five minutes,
24:18 they put the match beyond Juventus,
24:20 this was a very good breakaway goal,
24:23 and Juventus didn't know what hit them,
24:25 narrow angle, and he just squeezed it in off the post,
24:28 that's Alessandro Bonomi,
24:31 a double, and Juventus were blown away,
24:33 and that doesn't happen very often.
24:35 - It was a dominant first half display,
24:37 a convincing display,
24:39 Abate, though, I don't think he wouldn't believe
24:42 where his team are at,
24:43 because they finished so strongly last season,
24:46 and you think, Juventus at the weekend,
24:49 Sassuolo prior to that as well,
24:50 they were two teams that Milan played
24:52 the back end of last season,
24:54 and they dropped points on that occasion,
24:56 this time around, flying Fiorentina to come,
25:00 Youth League to come,
25:02 they're playing as well as any team in any competition,
25:06 perfect start to the season,
25:07 but bigger tests, of course, still to come.
25:10 - Winning is the main objective for Abate's side,
25:14 two games, between Primavera 1 and also Youth League,
25:19 another action, European action,
25:21 against Borussia Dortmund's under-19s,
25:24 what should we expect from our Rossoneri,
25:26 who are doing their best,
25:27 and it's something that is reflected in the results?
25:31 - They're confident, they're very confident in Europe,
25:34 the Primavera, they got to the semi-finals
25:36 of last year's UEFA Youth League,
25:38 so they know the terrain,
25:40 some of those players that achieved that journey
25:44 to the final four have moved on
25:46 'cause of age category rules,
25:48 but the nucleus is still there,
25:50 so this team has got a really good Euro dimension,
25:53 in the first group stage match against Newcastle,
25:56 they obliterated the English side.
25:59 - Easily.
26:00 - Yeah, exactly, this is Chaka Traore,
26:02 there's something about scoring at that end of the goal,
26:05 off the post, that the Milan players seem to like,
26:07 but keep it up, I say.
26:09 But no, they were so impressive against Newcastle,
26:12 they blew them away,
26:14 and they're growing with confidence,
26:15 five matches this season,
26:17 six if you include the Primavera Coppa Italia,
26:20 six matches, six wins, I believe.
26:22 So the confidence is there,
26:23 Abate will keep their feet on the ground, the mister,
26:26 make sure that no one gets carried away,
26:28 that's probably the clearest penalty
26:29 you'll see this season, by the way.
26:31 But again, I'm optimistic about their chances
26:35 in the UEFA Youth League, you can see there,
26:38 that's the incident, Camarda goes down,
26:40 takes the penalty himself, doesn't look stressed, does he?
26:43 Just rolls it in the corner.
26:44 - Lots of talk about this player, Sheridan,
26:46 you start to see some big talk about a 15 year old
26:50 doing incredible things, incredible to think, born in 2008.
26:54 - What were you doing at the age of 15, Adriano?
26:57 Best not to ask, perhaps.
26:58 - Not to ask, but I was still in my very young years there,
27:01 Sheridan. - Yeah, yeah, sure.
27:02 - You weren't doing that, were you?
27:04 - I certainly wasn't doing that, but what a finish
27:07 and a bright talent coming through the ranks.
27:10 - Lots of excitement for Camarda.
27:12 - A lot of excitement, a lot of positive talk,
27:14 and played a key role in this 4-0 win here, Licia,
27:18 but of course, going into match day two now,
27:20 let's not disregard Borussia Dortmund,
27:22 because they did go to Paris Saint-Germain
27:24 in the Youth League and win.
27:26 So this is going to be, well, so far,
27:29 the two best teams in this group going head to head,
27:32 and six points off the first two matches
27:34 will put them in a great position
27:36 to go on and win the group from here.
27:38 So there you go, another penalty to wrap things up.
27:41 - Another penalty.
27:41 - Defending maybe a little question.
27:43 - The referee didn't have to think too long
27:44 about that one, did he?
27:45 But the truth is, and we said it last season, Adriano,
27:48 the UEFA Youth League is a learning curve.
27:50 You don't have to be, you're not the finished product
27:53 at that stage of your career.
27:54 So that Newcastle defender,
27:56 we don't want to be too harsh on him
27:57 because he's learning the game.
27:58 And likewise with Milan,
27:59 going to play against a German side away
28:02 in the Youth League will be a learning curve.
28:04 They'll get so much information,
28:05 they'll feel new kinds of pressure.
28:07 - It's a different pressure from the domestic competition.
28:09 Absolutely, as you're going away from home,
28:11 they don't get to do that too often,
28:12 playing in different countries at that level.
28:15 To do that and perform,
28:17 hopefully another big three points to come for a baptism.
28:20 - So guys, I would like to continue with you,
28:22 but time is over, so.
28:24 - We have to go.
28:25 - That's all for today.
28:25 - Ah, okay, that's okay.
28:27 - Thanks to Adriano Del Monte.
28:29 - Grazie, Licia.
28:29 - Thanks to Sherry Dunbar.
28:31 - Thank you very much, my pleasure.
28:32 Thank you for everyone at home for watching.
28:35 - And dear Rossoneri, thanks for following us.
28:36 See you in the next episode of our AC Milan Talk.
28:39 Ciao.
28:40 (upbeat music)
28:43 (crowd cheering)
28:56 (crowd cheering)
28:59 [BOOM]
