00:05 >> I just knew it was a part of the game plan.
00:08 I knew it would eventually come.
00:09 Just being patient, playing within the plan that I have for the week.
00:12 >> What gives you that confidence that you said you knew it was gonna happen

00:18 What makes you believe that?
00:20 >> Just playing football.
00:21 Being on the field, you eventually will make a play.
00:24 And then knowing your technique and doing what the coaches have taught you,
00:27 I feel like things will just happen and it'll come to you.
00:30 So that was my mindset during the game.
00:31 >> I was just gonna ask, when you get home the first time,
00:37 is getting and collecting sacks almost contagious?
00:40 You get the feel for it, and you're in there a lot.
00:42 >> Yeah. >> I'm just curious in kind of the mindset
00:44 once you do have some success like that.
00:46 >> Yeah, everybody I talk to about getting sacks, they always say they come in
00:49 bunches.
00:50 So when you get that first one, you actually have a feeling of where you should
00:54 be at certain times.
00:55 For the second one, I feel like they just repeat game after game.
01:00 >> When you see the only thing between you and
01:02 the quarterback is a small running back,
01:04 what's going through your mind in that moment?
01:07 >> Run him over, run him into the quarterback.
01:11 Don't try to do any moves.
01:12 You gotta get a smile on your face.
01:15 The whole game, you're never gonna get somebody that small, but
01:18 it's just an exciting feeling.
01:19 >> Are you almost surprised when you get in that moment?
01:22 >> Yeah, cuz you never expect it.
01:24 And then when a running back comes out of nowhere and
01:26 just appears in front of you, you don't have many options but just run him over.
01:30 >> Let me add a last year where statistically at least it was one of the lower
01:34 outputs in the wild to have seven this last game and you and
01:37 a bunch of other guys were involved in so many.
01:39 What kind of a statement or
01:39 pride did you feel from that performance collectively?
01:42 >> I knew this group would eventually get to that number,
01:47 get to the sack number that they wanted to get to.
01:50 It's a hard working group as a whole.
01:52 When we put in that game plan and everybody's thinking on the same page and
01:55 everybody's being efficient in practice, eventually we would come home,
01:58 we would get you the quarterback.
