00:00 Well, it was obviously it wasn't good.
00:02 And when your unit plays that way, my first thought is,
00:07 it's me, you know, doing better as a coach
00:10 and getting guys ready for the challenge.
00:13 It was a tough day from day one to play whatever we played.
00:17 But, you know, as a coach and as an experienced coach,
00:22 when those days happen, it's always, you know,
00:27 in my opinion, me first.
00:29 And I'll fix it quickly.
00:32 I have to.
00:33 - Was it missed assignments?
00:34 Was it speed?
00:35 - Well, it was a combination of a lot of things, Mike.
00:39 You know, obviously I didn't get them ready for the speeds
00:42 and the angle and those things
00:43 and have them in the right positions.
00:44 And again, I take it first and we go back and look at it
00:48 and make sure we, you know,
00:49 next time we game plan a team like that, we do better.
00:51 But it always falls on me first.
00:53 And the players are always giving max effort
00:55 and trying to do it right to win games, you know,
00:57 but it became a buzzsaw, you know, quickly.
01:00 And it's spiraled.
01:01 It spiraled quickly.
01:02 - The tackling in particular,
01:04 how do you work on that in practice and coach that up
01:07 when there's limited contact opportunities in practice?
01:10 - I think everyone's, you know,
01:12 having that same issue as forced tackling,
01:14 but a team like that will expose you with their speed
01:18 because of the angles you're taking, right?
01:20 Or the leverage you're in.
01:21 So it's almost worse when you're playing that much speed,
01:24 but everyone's having that challenge.
01:26 But as pros, as coaches, you know,
01:29 most guys are tackling every day, you know,
01:33 at least simulating tackling, you know,
01:35 not going to the ground, but that's every day in practice.
01:37 But again, the speed, the angles,
01:40 it was obviously overwhelming for us.
