Speaking with reporters prior to Friday's practice, Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams discusses the challenges he faced rehabbing from a significant leg injury that cost him most of the 2022 season and the first three games this season.

00:00 You know, when you tell your quad, you know, you get a lot of, you know,
00:05 built up scar tissue into your knee.
00:07 So I was in a straight cast for probably about 20 plus weeks.
00:11 I couldn't shit by myself.
00:12 I couldn't do anything by myself.
00:15 I couldn't be independent.
00:16 You know what I mean?
00:16 Couldn't get out the bed, couldn't shower by myself.
00:20 So, you know, you talk about being up here and then just coming down,
00:24 being in a wheelchair.
00:25 You know, it's a different ball game.
00:27 So mentally, I'm a lot stronger than when I was, you know,
00:31 last season before I hurt myself.
00:33 But, you know, this injury, you know, you talk about scar tissue and breaking up,
00:37 you know, that type of piece and that type of, you know, that magnitude is different, man.
00:44 I took videos on my phone just to see how painful and what I was going through.
00:50 It's something I'll never forget.
