00:00 >> What do you think the biggest challenge is when it comes to just containing that?
00:04 >> Just speed at multiple positions.
00:06 I think they're dynamic across the board.
00:07 I think they've got a number of guys that receiving core, running back core,
00:11 a lot of depth.
00:12 And obviously, athletic quarterback play again.
00:14 And this is gonna be kind of the kickoff of what we're gonna see consistently
00:18 throughout the course of the season.
00:20 >> How much confidence does it give you when you've got a player like Jabbar's
00:25 playing at such a consistent level on one side of the field?
00:26 >> Yeah, that's great.
00:27 I mean, I think when you look at through the lens of just play calling and
00:31 things like that, when you know you have a lot of confidence in a guy.
00:35 Especially when those guys get so isolated all the time.
00:38 You look at Saturday, and you look at the splits and the spacing on the field from
00:43 Cal, and they're over splitting their guys all the time.
00:45 Well, there's not a lot of ways.
00:46 I mean, no matter how you cook it, there's gonna be a lot of one on ones out there.
00:50 And Jabbar's just super confident being by himself.
00:54 And I think that just allows us to do some things schematically to change some
00:58 pictures on some people when we're really confident in what he's doing on the field.
01:02 >> When you guys went after him in the portal, was this, I mean,
01:05 he was a proven player.
01:06 He did last year too at Oklahoma State.
01:08 Was this the kind of production that you kind of envisioned?
01:10 >> Absolutely, yeah, there's no doubt about it.
01:12 And I think it goes back to not only is he just a fantastic
01:16 physical attributes as a player, but just veteran.
01:20 I mean, the dude is, he has a lot of confidence.
01:24 He knows our scheme inside and out.
01:25 It's like he's been here the whole time.
01:27 He's a leader for us.
01:29 So you're getting a lot of that, not only getting the performance from his abilities,
01:32 but you're getting the intangibles from the leadership standpoint as well.
01:35 And I think that has extreme value to me.
