00:00 What do you think of these Cardinals?
00:02 Kyle Shanahan was very complimentary and said they easily could have won
00:05 all three of their games.
00:06 What do you think?
00:06 They most certainly could have.
00:09 I got to say they're they're a little bit impressive from the standpoint of.
00:13 First of all, we thought that they were almost a lock
00:16 to get the first overall pick.
00:18 It was like them, maybe the Texans, but they have the Texans pick also.
00:23 So even then, they would have won it.
00:25 They have been in all three of these games.
00:27 Gannon, I didn't think much of as a defensive coordinator in Philly at all.
00:31 I thought it was addition by subtraction when he left.
00:34 He definitely had that opening speech that was very tool-ish, but he's
00:38 got this team playing good football.
00:40 They're playing hard.
00:41 Who would have thought that Dobbs would come in as a journeyman
00:44 and do what he's done?
00:45 Yeah, they just, they, they play harder than what I expected, Grant.
00:50 They are more physical than what I expected.
00:52 I was actually kind of shocked.
00:53 If you go watch that Dallas game last week, they look physically
00:58 imposing compared to Dallas.
01:00 I did not expect that.
01:02 I, you know, Dallas is, can be a physical team in their own, right?
01:06 They've got a good offensive line.
01:07 Supposedly this defense was more ready and more physical than ever.
01:10 I just didn't see that Arizona looked like the bigger team.
01:13 They look like the more physical team.
01:15 Certainly not as is overall, not, not as much talent on that team, but
01:20 they, they play fast, they play physical.
01:24 They're actually decently coached, believe it or not.
01:26 I'm actually kind of impressed with the Cardinals.
01:28 I don't think that they're going to win, but I did not expect
01:31 this from Arizona at all.
01:32 No, it seems like they're probably a year or two away, but they just
01:36 beat Dallas, which is a, that's a statement win.
01:39 And I think, like, I don't know how good Jonathan Gannon is, but I do
01:43 think it's fair to say that he's way, way, way, way, way, way better
01:48 than cliff Kingsbury.
01:49 Oh my God.
01:51 Cliff Kingsbury.
01:52 I know.
01:52 Is he like a special assistant to the traveling secretary at
01:55 USC or something like that?
01:56 Yeah.
01:56 Something like that.
01:57 Yeah.
01:57 He never understood why he got that job.
02:01 I bet you Steve Wilkes wants to know too.
02:03 I bet you Steve Wilkes is laughing.
02:05 Bet you Steve Wilkes hates cliff Kingsbury.
02:07 Anyway, I think Jonathan Gannon at least is a competent coach.
02:12 He may be better than competent.
02:14 He got embarrassed in the super bowl.
02:15 We, we, we don't have to explain, right?
02:18 Like put the motion thing that he couldn't get right in the red zone
02:21 twice and I gave away 14 points, but he was really good last year.
02:26 And I don't know.
02:26 Who brought in Josh Dobbs?
02:29 That was genius.
02:29 Yeah, no, it definitely was the 49ers have.
02:33 Interestingly enough, this might be the third week in a row where a team
02:37 hangs with them for a half surprisingly hangs with them, a team that they're
02:41 way more supremely talented than they're definitely superior to the
02:47 Cardinals, much like they were the giants, much like they were the Rams.
02:51 But those teams hung around a little bit and I can see the Cardinals doing
02:54 something similar and then ultimately talent wins out in the 49ers do when
02:58 kind of big going away at the end.
03:00 But let's not forget that Gannon.
03:02 We didn't get to see a lot of it because pretty went down early, but he did
03:07 recently game plan for this same team.
03:09 Now much better players on Philly.
03:11 I understand all of that, but he I'm sure he's going to put
03:14 together a solid game plan.
03:16 Are his players good enough?
03:18 Probably not, but I think that they can make it interesting for a half for sure.
03:21 And I, I wouldn't have expected to say that week one of the season.
03:26 So at least they got that going for them.
03:29 They look like an interesting squad.
03:33 I mean, they don't have a ton of talent, so they're a ways away, but like new
03:38 coaches, you don't really know how to game plan for them.
03:40 I feel like they're showing things that they haven't shown before.
03:43 And that's partially why Josh Dobbs is doing so well.
03:45 Like how do you game plan for that?
03:47 You don't really know what he's going to do.
03:48 Also the zone read.
03:50 I'm curious to see how the Niners actually defended on a team that wants to use it
03:53 because Josh Dobbs, I know he had a long run.
03:55 He's averaging like eight yards to carry.
03:56 I mean, the Niners are like all gas, no breaks, or they used to be.
04:01 This is assignment football where everyone has to like slow
04:04 down and read their keys.
04:05 I'm curious to see what happens.
04:06 Sure.
04:07 They'll be fine.
04:08 You'd be fine.
04:09 I think so too, but what's interesting about Arizona and what they can bring to
04:13 the table offensively is almost a hybrid of what the Rams did to make the 49ers
04:17 struggle and what the giants could have done, but just, they didn't have say
04:21 Kwan, so they couldn't really incorporate Danny dimes and getting mobile.
04:25 But Dobbs is mobile like Danny dimes.
04:28 And he has two speedster receivers and Rondell more and Marquise Brown.
04:34 They could certainly get you the underneath crossing route stuff.
04:37 He's been accurate.
04:38 He hasn't made a lot of mistakes this year.
04:39 Hasn't turned the ball over.
04:41 I feel like they can incorporate kind of a hybrid of what those last two teams
04:47 brought and make it difficult for at least a little bit on the 49ers defense
04:52 and make them think a little bit, add in that James corn Connor is at least a
04:58 more season player than any of the running backs that they've faced the first two
05:02 weeks.
05:03 So yeah, I think it could be interesting for a while for sure.
05:06 What do you do if you're Arizona, when Kyler Murray comes back, like,
05:11 are you clamoring for him to come back at this point?
05:13 Are you trying to like beef up Dobbs trade value at least and get something for him?
05:18 I mean, I think Dobbs right now, but it's a little early, but I really, did you
05:23 watch the JTO Sullivan video on Josh Dobbs?
05:25 I didn't know.
05:26 What was he saying?
05:27 I was really impressed with him.
05:29 He just really liked him a lot.
05:31 He made some nice throws in that game against Dallas.
05:33 Yeah.
05:34 Um, and it's like, I'm looking at the coaches over here for, uh, what's he
05:41 going to be talking about Arizona?
05:42 Their offensive coordinator is drew pet sing.
05:44 He's from the Browns.
05:47 So he was working underneath the Stefanski.
05:49 And then before then he was with the Vikings for a long time, which is
05:52 interesting because that's more of like a Gary Kubiak under center type offense.
05:56 But what they're doing in Arizona looks like.
05:58 Kind of like the Eagles, you know, mobile quarterback in the shotgun,
06:02 using his own read RPOs, just the kind of stuff that gives the Niners a little
06:09 bit of problems.
06:10 Yeah.
06:10 Also, also, also last time the Niners face Jonathan Gannon.
06:13 Pretty good.
06:17 Oh, that's what happened.
06:19 And it wasn't just fluke.
06:21 Yeah.
06:21 I feel like Jonathan Gannon had a great game plan.
06:23 Like you did.
06:24 You're a play action team.
06:26 Okay.
06:27 I'm going to tell my pass rushers not to react to the play fake
06:31 and just go for the quarterback.
06:32 Good luck with that.
06:33 Slow developing play.
06:34 Yeah.
06:35 True.
06:38 I just don't think that I just don't think ultimately they just don't have the talent.
06:41 They just don't have the talent.
06:43 They don't have the difference.
06:44 I'll take some super chats.
06:46 Um, maritime wake gal.
06:51 Two bucks.
06:52 Thank you.
06:53 Thank you.
06:54 Frank Tom ocean says, I think pits would be a great replacement for GK.
06:58 Well, yeah, I'm sure.
07:00 Yes, he would be great.
07:01 A replacement.
07:02 How am I going to go get them?
07:03 Juan Torres says as good as Devante sounds, let's be real.
07:07 We need a right tackle or a corner.
07:08 That's true.
07:09 Yeah.
07:10 The problem with right tackle.
07:11 And the reason I didn't put one on the list is teams usually aren't
07:14 willing to trade right tackles in the middle of the season.
07:18 No, there's not many to the kivitz and McGlinchey.
07:23 Ethan M says trading for offensive line would be the most beneficial.
07:27 I agree.
07:28 I'll step up and do it.
07:30 Rome gut level says, so is Wilkes looking better than Ryan's or Sala?
07:38 Yeah.
07:38 It's early, very, very early.
07:43 He might be looking better than than than D'Amico because D'Amico was really good,
07:48 but he gave up long catches explosive place so far.
07:53 Steve Wilkes is not so far.
07:55 Maybe that's because he faced Pukunukuwa.
07:57 And yeah, I don't know, I don't I don't I just don't know that this
08:02 defensive has been stressed out that much this year.
08:07 I mean, let's look at the quarterbacks.
08:08 Wow.
08:10 Yeah, I know.
08:11 I know.
08:12 And Stafford's good.
08:13 Listen, Stafford's great.
08:14 He really is, but he just doesn't, he doesn't have a deep threat anymore.
08:18 That's true.
08:19 He does need that deep.
08:20 When they lost Odobek of junior, that was big when they had.
08:23 Uh, Brandon cooks.
08:25 Well, that was before Stafford.
