Transcript
00:00 Hiya, I'm Vicky and I work here at Dahna as a barista and a chef.
00:05 And I really love working and living around Crookes.
00:09 It's just such a friendly place to be where you can just get anything that you want.
00:14 And I've made so many friends just by working here because everybody's so nice.
00:20 And yeah, it's such a vibrant place to be and hang out and chill.
00:25 It's just so fun, like a proper high street. That's just like, yeah, a great place to be.
00:32 Hi there, my name's Ellen. I'm the owner of Small Plants in Crookes.
00:36 I opened in November 2020 and from the start there was a real sense of community.
00:41 Not only with the shopkeepers, but with the local community as well.
00:45 And lots of customers came from the very start and have continued to support me throughout.
00:50 It's really nice to be part of something bigger than just my shop.
00:54 We've got a whole high street and a huge variety of shops and lots of things to do.
00:59 And I really love being part of it.
01:02 Hi, my name's Sorrel. I'm the owner of Sorrel's Local Bakery.
01:05 I'm here with Sass, our little shop mascot.
01:08 And we have a bakery and chocolate shop in Crookes in Sheffield.
01:12 We opened in Crookes because we live in the area, we love the area.
01:17 And it's a great place for a small business to get their start.
01:20 It's less expensive than somewhere like Sheribere, like Ecclesall.
01:23 It's got a wonderful community feel and a lot of variation from the high street.
