00:00People are so friendly, we've got two good pubs, the church, surrounding district, you're into

00:07Peak District in no time, you're down into Sheffield to Meadow Hall within no time at all.

00:13How long have you lived here?

00:15Since 1970.

00:17And has it changed?

00:18Yeah, obviously, like most places, but it's still a nice place to live.

00:23A lot of people said to me, well it's not like it used to be, but it's still a nice place to live.

00:29What do you think they mean by that?

00:30Well, because of change and burglaries and things like that, that seems to happen quite a lot,

00:36because obviously, you know, if they break into a garden shed around here, it's going to have all

00:40the top gardening equipment. There's a few celebrities and Jess Ennis is one of them,

00:46and she's just a normal person. I mean, she went to school around here and I remember her as a kid,

00:54because I had the chip shop for 40 years.

00:57We've been here since April of this year, and it's the community.

01:00The feel of the people around here is phenomenal. They're warm, welcoming, nice,

01:04kind, and it's just a really nice place to be. When people are positive and happy about

01:09their day, it just makes you feel good, and it's just nice to work with

01:12people who have those as your customers.

01:16Bus services are a bit poor. That's the only thing, is bus services are very poor.

01:22It's a miss, and it's not fair on old people trying to get to doctor's appointments,

01:29etc. So that's the only issue I'd have with door.

01:32I'm Ella, and we're at The Door Bar and Grill. We've been open since the end of Maybank holiday

01:392023, and so we've been open quite a bit over a year now.

01:45The customers here are lovely. We've got a lot of regular friendly faces that come in,

01:49that's really nice. They're all really supportive.

01:53A team have always got time for the local community. They look after us, we look after them.
