00:00 Since you're both SuperMars, we'll introduce you to another SuperMars who's also a superstar in sports.
00:07 That's right!
00:08 Here's the thing!
00:09 Did you see Mars?
00:13 Recently, a surfer posted a photo on the internet
00:18 because of the photos where she was surfing while wearing a Filipino outfit.
00:24 That's so cool!
00:25 Wow, Mars!
00:27 She's so classy!
00:30 I think it's time that we hang loose with the C-Game SuperMars, Ikit Agudo!
00:36 Mars Ikit, are you there?
00:39 Yes!
00:40 Why did you decide to surf while wearing a Filipino outfit?
00:45 I'm with Archie Giratina, the artist.
00:47 He's the head of this project.
00:51 I collaborated with my sister, Aking Agudo, and the photographer, Bren Frentis.
00:59 Our friend thought that he's really into our culture and surfing.
01:08 He wanted to mix these two things.
01:11 That's why we decided to wear Filipino outfits.
01:14 But I don't understand, Mars.
01:18 To catch a wave, you have to swim out.
01:22 How did you swim out?
01:24 You have to stand there first, right?
01:26 You have to stand there for an hour before you go.
01:28 You can't lift your arms up.
01:32 Why don't you look drenched in your Filipino outfit?
01:36 How did you shoot this?
01:41 It's really hard, especially when you're walking on the board.
01:44 We're wearing tight skirts and legs.
01:50 So, we can't walk properly.
01:53 But we're happy that our shots turned out well.
01:57 We just surfed like we normally do.
02:02 The photographer was the one who took care of the shots.
02:07 As long as we're just gonna walk and perform our best.
02:12 How many times did you wipe out?
02:14 We only did it for 20 minutes during dinner.
02:18 Wow!
02:19 It's because she's good at surfing.
02:21 She's good at surfing.
02:23 We have a shot.
02:25 We're happy that we did it for 20 minutes.
02:28 We're making a powerful statement in breaking the mold and societal and gender expectation of how Filipina would behave.
02:39 Throughout the history of the Philippines, women in Filipiniana are considered meek, shy, and weak.
02:50 So, here, we want to be a representation.
02:53 Wow!
02:55 Lovely!
02:57 Thank you for this.
02:59 I'm sure, Marth, there are a lot of women who are empowered because of little things like this.
03:04 When you see this, you get inspired.
03:08 First, you're proud because you're Filipino.
03:11 We really wanted to remind and represent of what modern-day Filipina could be.
03:17 Strong, modest, and capable.
03:23 And riding the waves of life.
03:26 Right, in a Filipiniana.
03:28 And we're also proud of our culture, arts, and sport.
03:31 That's it.
03:32 We're really good.
03:33 We're really good.
03:35 I love it.
03:36 Hey, Kit, what's the next outfit we're going to wear while surfing?
03:41 Have you thought of something?
03:42 Bikini.
03:43 Back to bikini, which is easier.
03:45 Let's go back to bikini because it's really hard to go back to Filipiniana.
03:51 Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for joining us this morning.
03:55 Thank you!
