00:00 The LTFRB has approved the special permit for public transportation.
00:06 This is to ensure that the vehicle is sufficient for the upcoming barangay and S.C. Elections and elections.
00:12 Karen Villanda has a report.
00:14 Daisy has been in Cavite for only a week to be with her child.
00:21 She is now in a hurry to go home to Sorsogona.
00:24 She doesn't want to accompany the additional passengers who will travel during the elections and elections.
00:29 I know that there are about 15 people who will be going home to the province.
00:34 So?
00:35 So, I'm in a hurry.
00:37 That's why the LTFRB is preparing a vehicle that will be sufficient for the passengers who will be going home to the province
00:45 to vote on October 30 and light a candle at the elections.
00:50 Because of this, the LTFRB approved the special permit that is being given to public transportation
00:56 to add passengers to their routes.
00:59 It will start from October 20 and operators and drivers can use it until November 6.
01:06 What we have heard is that when there are tight days and our government declares that there is a shortage of public transport,
01:19 if you will notice, All Souls Day is in the middle of our week.
01:27 This weekend, the LTFRB approved this so that it will not be difficult for our countrymen to return to their provinces.
01:40 And because there are more passengers in Vermont, the LTFRB strengthened the Memorandum Circular No. 016
01:48 or the Implementation of Safe Spaces Act involving transportation services.
01:54 The stickers are dedicated to public transportation that has a visa for passengers where they can vote
02:00 if they experience a shortage in public transportation.
02:04 They only need to vote on the LTFRB hotline 1342.
02:08 Drivers who will not let the LTFRB know that there is a shortage of passengers will also be punished.
02:16 The penalty will be different if the driver or the employee has done it.
02:23 The penalty will be heavier.
02:25 It will be automatic, 5,000 pesos and suspension for 6 months of their franchise.
02:31 The second offense is suspension for 1 year and their penalty is 10,000 pesos.
02:38 If they are with public transportation, the penalty is 5,000 pesos.
02:46 But if the operator or the driver or the conductor did not vote, they will still be punished.
02:56 The penalty will be 5,000, 10,000, 15,000 pesos.
