Birmingham headlines 3 October: Gunman Jervais Boyaram jailed for life for shooting dead wrong man in Birmingham
A man has been given a life sentence for murder after shooting an innocent man in a case of mistaken identity. Jervais Boyaram had intended to take revenge on a group of youths he had rowed with earlier before executing Muhummed Sohail at point blank range.

A man has been charged after a teen was stabbed outside James Watt College last week. Following questioning, Vacoy Farrell has been charged with wounding and possessing a bladed weapon on educational premises. The 16 year old victim has since been discharged from hospital.

Opentable have selected 13 of Birmingham's best restaurants in their new Restaurant Impact Report. The study heaps high praise on Birmingham's dining scene for it's diversity. Noel's Bar & Restaurant, Medicine Baker and Gallery and Gaijin Sushi made the top three in the list.
