00:00 This is Zach Gale with Motor Trend and I'm here with the 2015 Subaru Legacy 2.5i.
00:06 This is the non-turbo four-cylinder model in its most loaded form.
00:11 Up front you can see the inimitable Subaru sign surrounded by a six-part grille.
00:16 The EyeSight safety system has two cameras at the very top of the dash while these headlights,
00:24 the LED daytime running lights, shine in much the same way the BRZs do.
00:29 On the side it's a little bland even with those nice 10-spoke wheels and that character
00:34 line jutting up the side.
00:36 But considering Subaru wants to double their share of the mid-size sedan market, you can
00:41 see what they were going for.
00:44 Those who go for the six-cylinder model will get an extra exhaust pipe on the right there
00:51 while inside it's actually a pretty nice place to spend some time.
00:57 We've got some high-quality fake wood on the dash and on the doors.
01:04 I like how that material feels on the door panels themselves and of course the squishy
01:10 armrest that you probably read about in Johnny's first test.
01:14 While on the center stack the screen is a little bit small but it's surrounded by these
01:19 touch-sensitive buttons which make it feel modern.
01:23 And surprisingly for a mid-size sedan it's got this acceleration monitor which you never
01:29 would expect on a car like this but it's a fun little feature you can play around with
01:34 as you're going on a freeway on-ramp or something like that.
01:38 And in the center stack you've got this instrument cluster display which when you put the adaptive
01:45 cruise control on will actually show you when you're pressing on the brakes.
