00:00I'm Matt Jadzynski with Motor Trend, and this is the 2025 GMC Yukon.
00:17For this year, we've removed the old base trims, we've added an elevation to fill in
00:21the base, we've elevated the AT4 with the Ultimate treatment, and the Denali Ultimate
00:27gets even more enhancements.
00:28Let's take a closer look at the both of them.
00:35Next to me here is our Denali Ultimate with Rush Metallic paint.
00:39As you move around the light, you can kind of see it change from some blues into some
00:42darker purples, and all that is accented by our piano black grille surround with our Vader
00:48grille trim.
00:49The whole front has been widened and lowered for a little bit more aggressive stance to
00:53kind of give the Yukon Denali that suburban feel, cruising around the roads that people
00:57are expecting.
00:59Moving back from our more aggressive front, we've got for the first time ever 24-inch
01:02wheels and on the size of the Yukon, it pulls it off quite well.
01:06We've got some nice intricate machining and some laser-etched Denali logo to finish off
01:10the look.
01:11Coming back even further, we've got automatic running boards standard on our Ultimate package
01:16with LED lights trimming out the bottom to light up the night as you approach the vehicle.
01:21Also new for 2025 is a new proximity walk-up liftgate feature, so no longer do you have
01:25to awkwardly kick underneath the bumper with your hands full of stuff.
01:28You simply walk up, it detects the key, and after three seconds, the hatch will open up
01:33with a few warning chimes, so if you don't want it to open, you simply walk away.
01:37If you don't want the feature at all, you can disable it inside the vehicle.
01:41The interior across all the Yukons has been enhanced.
01:43Our Denali Ultimate here is trimmed out a little bit nicer, but across the board, we've
01:47got an instrument panel that's been lowered about an inch to give us a little bit more
01:51space.
01:52We've got a standard 16.8-inch tablet-style touchscreen, and we have an 11-inch driver
01:57information cluster.
01:59For the first time ever in the Yukon, Super Cruise is now available across all trims where
02:04previously you could only get it in the Denali.
02:07New for 2025 is the GMC Night Vision, which uses thermal cameras to detect objects in
02:13the dark, so no matter whether you're using Super Cruise or using your own hands and eyes
02:16to drive, there's an extra layer of security to keep you protected when things are not
02:21visible.
02:22One of the biggest enhancements to our Ultimate Denali package this year is the rear executive
02:26seating.
02:27We've taken the first row captain's chairs and moved them to the second row, so now we
02:32have heated and cooled second row with massaging seats, and you get the Bose speakers in the
02:37headrests with the stainless steel speaker grills.
02:39All that's controllable with an 8-inch touchscreen here on the center console.
02:44Next to me here is our AT4 Ultimate, and the Ultimate trim being new for 2025 on the AT4.
02:50Where our Denali was a little bit wider and more aggressive in that sense, our AT4 looks
02:55a little bit taller.
02:56We've got a piano black grill to get rid of some of our lower space and give it that higher
03:00stance to signify its off-road capability that the AT4 brings.
03:05We've got some dark chrome accents to contrast with our piano black grill surround, and to
03:10dampen a little bit of the shiny elements, we've got a nice matte red GMC logo here to
03:14finish off the look.
03:16Where our 24-inch wheels on the Denali will keep us cruising through the suburbs, we've
03:20got 20-inch wheels here on the AT4, which give us a little bit more sidewall, a more
03:24aggressive tire, and are much better suited for the off-road capability, again, that the
03:28AT4 brings.
03:29Here in our AT4, we've got some different colorways than our Denali.
03:33We've got black leather with a few different textures on the seatbacks.
03:36We've got red stitching so that we don't have a completely all-black interior.
03:40We've got a little bit of light.
03:41With our Ultimate trim, we've got a panoramic sunroof, and we've got our Bose speakers here
03:45in the headrest to enjoy our premium sound.
03:48Now, the difference between the AT4 and the Denali Ultimate mostly is the executive seating.
03:54We can't get that here in the AT4, but we still have heated and cooled seats with our
03:598-inch control screen in the center console.
04:02Underneath the hood here of our Denali, we have the 6.2-liter V8 engine as standard equipment.
04:07On the other trims, we get a 5.3-liter V8 as standard equipment.
04:11The specs of those two engines are unchanged from 2024, but for 2025, all trims, we have
04:17a refreshed 3-liter Duramax diesel with more power, more torque, and better efficiency.
04:22Whether you're just looking for the size and hauling capacity of the Yukon to cruise around
04:26an urban environment, or you want to go exploring and you want the off-road capability of the AT4,
04:31for 2025, with new standard features, more luxury, and safety features like Super Cruise
04:37and Night Vision, the 2025 GMC Yukon has something for everybody.
