00:00 We hold Clayton Kershaw to such a high standard. You guys know I'm a devout Christian, right?
00:05 I believe in Christianity, but we hold them to this ridiculously high standard where if
00:10 you look at his numbers, even since he's returned from the injury, he leads the team with a
00:14 two 23 L Ray and 36 and a thirds innings of work with 32 punch outs to 16 to walk.
00:19 So even with diminished stuff, even with shaky command, it's hard to argue with those results.
00:25 Clayton Kershaw's last start against the giants. It was his best start he's had in quite some
00:29 time hit 90 miles per hour. So the Velo is not a flamethrower. He's not going to be throwing
00:34 95 or 96, but the velocity at least was higher than it was a few weeks ago when he was pumping
00:39 88 miles per hour. It was his best start. He's had his months and he had five strikeouts,
00:44 had 10 swings and misses and six of those came off that slider.
00:48 So all we say about Clayton Kershaw, he's a happily married man, but he has a slide
00:52 piece as long as he has the feel for that slider and the command of the fastball, he's
00:56 going to be effective. And that has been the story with him. He's completely reinvented
01:01 himself from his peak. It was the first time he had pitched into the sixth inning since
01:05 June 27th. So you saw his best stuff. So his best velocity, so his deepest game, you saw
01:10 swing and miss with that slider.
