In drei Kantonen sind die SVP und Mass-voll für die Wahlen 2023 eine Listenverbindung eingegangen.

00:00 In three cantons, the SVP and MESVOL have entered a list of connections for the elections in 2023.
00:07 At first glance, this makes more sense than the "Du SVP FDP".
00:11 Those who want to get everything out of the elections in 2023, enter list of connections.
00:20 So, seats of the national council, which can only be won by half or a third, can be completely taken away from the others.
00:29 The ambitious measures critics of MESVOL have therefore wanted to stick to the big SVP.
00:36 An evaluation shows that, apart from the size, the two parties are not such an unequal pair.
00:43 In two cantons, Lucerne and Solothurn, MESVOL has managed to successfully re-advertise the "Braut SVP".
00:50 In the canton of Zurich, where MESVOL's boss Nicolas Rimoldi is running for president, it has not.
00:57 There, as well as in the canton of Bern, the skeptics had to be taken seriously for the elections in 2023.
01:05 The election aid Smartvote has asked all Swiss candidates to fill out their questionnaire.
01:13 A majority has followed suit and so people and parties can be represented as so-called "Smart Spiders".
01:21 This graph gives a summary of the attitude on eight topics.
01:26 This more or less "brisk" star actually has MESVOL and SVP, who are more or less the same "brisk".
01:34 At least completely different from, for example, the SP.
01:38 The order on the liberal-conservative and left-right axis, the "Smart Map", is more party-politically inclusive.
01:46 Here it is indistinguishable, SVP and MESVOL are quasi-siblings separated by birth.
01:54 Especially eye-catching, especially in the canton of Zurich, the MESVOL candidates are extremely close to each other.
02:00 But definitely hand in hand with SVP representatives, who spread out much more broadly and make a great individuality recognizable.
02:09 The positioning of MESVOL in the very right, rather conservative spectrum, however, raises other questions.
02:16 Has the former FDP member Nicolas Rimoldi been in the completely wrong party so far?
02:23 The FDP occupies a completely different field in this scheme.
02:27 And, shouldn't the SVP be entering a list connection with all cantons where MESVOL is present?
02:35 Short answer, no.
02:37 Because, as in the private sector, even with political connections, if it is not already complicated, it can quickly become one.
02:46 A MESVOL candidate may have filled the Smartphoto question mark similarly to an SV player and very, very similar to other MESVOL candidates.
02:55 But the new party of course has many other facets.
03:00 For example, their representatives sometimes say things that others don't like at all, like the Zurich FDP.
03:07 So the FDP made it clear that an SVP list connection would only work without MESVOL.
03:15 Although SVP and FDP are further apart than, for example, FDP and Mitte Partei,
03:21 the election campaign strategists prefer to rely on a convergence of the big right-wing.
03:26 In this constellation, one hopes for an additional seat gain in the elections in 2023 in nine cantons.
03:34 Or at least a counterweight to everything left of the middle.
03:39 Even if you don't have the hay on the same stage politically, such a collusion can make sense.
03:45 The same applies to the list connections of MESVOL and Aufrecht in the cantons of Zurich and Bern.
03:52 The ellipses, which cover about two-thirds of the candidates, are only slightly touching.
03:58 Individual Aufrecht exponents are even significantly settled in the left area, like the ex-green Us-Hans.
04:06 The list connection, which also belongs to the Swiss Democrats and the EDO, is quasi the counterpart to that of the big ones.
04:14 The small parties were not allowed to make enough votes for a whole national council seat in the 2023 elections.
04:23 But together they could at least make it.
04:26 Of course, all participants assume that the others will act as voice providers in favor of their own success.
