00:03 Well, I've been preaching at the podium the past couple of times and
00:08 they keep asking me to come back.
00:11 Yeah, so I guess I'll keep on preaching.
00:15 Firstly, praise God.
00:18 What a wonderful game today.
00:22 I think I'm just blown away that it's the Lord's day.
00:29 And oftentimes many of us don't get to go to church on Sunday because we're
00:35 either here working or playing this game or watching this game.
00:41 So we do have the opportunity to bring church to us.
00:44 I think after a game like that, it's very easy to praise us, praise our team.
00:51 But it's the Lord's day, and so I'm always conscious to try to deflect that praise.
00:58 So I wanna be conscious to deflect that praise to Him.
01:00 I think over the past week, I've just been thinking about
01:05 how easy it is for us to kind of mask our hurt and pain.
01:12 And it's easy to deflect and watch a game like this and
01:16 be entertained for an entire day or multiple days.
01:21 But then we go back to our reality, and this game is great.
01:24 It's provided a lot of blessings.
01:28 But there's nothing inside this game that can help
01:33 when something happens to us individually and we're hurting.
01:36 If something happens to my kids or our kids,
01:41 there's nothing in this game that can help necessarily with that.
01:45 Talking about kids specifically, my daughter is doing well.
01:49 She's still doing well.
01:51 Thank you, God, for the prayers.
01:53 If something happens in your relationships,
01:56 there's nothing inside this game that can help with that.
01:59 If something happens catastrophically in your finances,
02:05 people who play this game, there's nothing that could help them with that.
02:10 If something happens in your career,
02:12 there's nothing in this game that can help you with that.
02:15 But where there is help is at the cross.
02:18 See, the cross not only can save you spiritually,
02:21 but what Jesus has done and is doing can help you in your current day life.
02:26 And I think we need to take time to be reminded of that,
02:31 because a lot of us are hurting and we're masking it like we're not.
02:34 And so being able to have Sunday, that's what,
02:38 at least the Lord's Day is a reminder of that.
02:42 And if we take time and don't use the Lord's Day for
02:45 what it's actually there for, to remind us of the Lord.
02:49 And take time to praise the Lord and make sure our focus is right,
02:53 man, we miss a great opportunity.
02:55 And I just don't want that to pass before us.
02:58 And so I'm grateful for that.
03:00 So that's why I come in and say praise God.
03:02 I'm grateful for this platform on a Sunday that I can,
03:04 even if I miss church, I get to come in and have church.
03:07 And so praise God for that.
03:10 I guess this time I am gonna open it for questions.
03:14 But I'm gonna save my football questions for next week.
03:17 But if you got any life questions or anything that,
03:22 maybe I can go deeper on what I've shared, I do wanna open the floor for that.
03:25 >> Do y'all find time to go over scripture or anything like that,
03:33 whether it be at the facility or pre or post game, anything?
03:36 >> Man, that's a phenomenal question.
03:37 Do we get a chance to go over scripture?
03:40 On Wednesdays, we have team prayer.
03:44 And so anybody in our building that's going through something,
03:48 whether it's on the field, off the field, life, we have team prayer.
03:52 On Wednesday mornings, usually about an hour before we have our team meeting.
03:56 And it's been phenomenal.
03:57 When that's where you really get to see what people are going through.
04:00 Most of the time, the prayers are not football related.
04:05 And we pray for 30 minutes to an hour.
04:08 And our room is full and people are praying.
04:13 And that's something that we do.
04:14 And we also have team Bible study weekly and team chapel weekly.
04:19 Yeah, but we're constantly trying to stay on our real mission
04:24 as believers in the locker room.
04:28 But whether you're a believer or not believer, we wanna make sure that
04:31 you know that the cross is available and the power of God is available for you.
04:34 Thank you for this.
