Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson tables a petition in the NSW Parliament calling on the government and health sector to work together to bring a doctor to the community of Barraba.

00:01 - Madam Speaker, I give notice of the following motion
00:03 that this House, one, notes the disparity
00:06 in health services and GP availability
00:08 in regional areas of New South Wales.
00:10 Two, recognises that from August 2023,
00:12 the town of Barabba has been left with no doctors
00:15 after the closure of the Barabba Medical Centre.
00:18 And three, calls on the government to immediately address
00:20 the shortage of doctors in Barabba
00:22 and regional New South Wales,
00:23 and provide certainty for options to the Barabba community
00:28 and resolve the doctor shortage.
