00:00 The New England Patriots have only reached the playoffs once in the four seasons without
00:06 Tom Brady.
00:07 Is it time for the Patriots to move on from head coach Bill Belichick?
00:12 Maybe it's time for Bill Belichick to move on from the Patriots.
00:16 I think there's so much abuse being heaped upon this legendary coach who's been as good
00:20 as there's ever been for the last 24 years, the last couple years notwithstanding.
00:26 Maybe the better way to look at this instead of, "Hey, New England, let's hate Bill Belichick
00:31 now.
00:32 Let's divorce Bill Belichick.
00:33 Let's dump him."
00:34 Maybe they should divorce each other.
00:35 A clean split.
00:38 Right.
00:39 With as little animosity as possible.
00:42 And then the Patriots have to rebuild.
00:44 Maybe they rebuild with a really high draft pick.
00:47 And maybe they rebuild with Bill Belichick going and coaching somewhere else against
00:51 them, which I don't think they would enjoy.
00:54 Maybe Bill Belichick goes into something else altogether.
00:56 He could certainly work in somebody's front office if he wanted to do that.
00:59 He could work as a consultant at age 71.
01:01 There was even speculation that he could go on TV.
01:03 That could be so interesting.
01:05 It could be so interesting and so insightful or so magnificently boring.
01:12 Because of course a lot of what he does in his press conferences is be boring on purpose.
01:16 Every once in a while though, he'll decide he wants to do a five minute analysis of the
01:22 long snapper or the five minute analysis of the history of the Dallas Cowboys or whatever.
01:28 And so obviously he's loaded with insight.
01:29 But right now he is not loaded with answers when it comes to how to get the Patriots back
01:33 on the winning side.
