00:00 But Aaron Rodgers has recently said he feels like he might be able to rehab in time for
00:04 the end of this season.
00:06 Yeah.
00:07 40 years old, what do you make of that?
00:09 The smart speculation is that it would be next year for Aaron Rodgers where he comes
00:13 back to the Jets and to the AFC East and gives them a chance to threaten the Bills, which
00:18 didn't happen this year.
00:20 Gives them a chance to threaten the Dolphins, which didn't happen this year.
00:23 Two teams that are obviously powers in the AFC, something the Jets simply have not been.
00:28 So then why would Rodgers say this?
00:30 Why would he give hope to the Jets community?
00:34 I will argue, and I have some fun poking fun at Aaron Rodgers, I really do believe he loves
00:40 the drama of it all.
00:41 Or maybe he really feels like, you know what, if I take enough mushroom herbs, or whatever,
00:49 maybe I can make it back.
00:51 Yeah, right.
00:52 That's right.
00:53 If I rub enough herbs on my foot.
00:56 He also, obviously, he's one of the greatest of all time, and a professional athlete is
01:00 almost predisposed to think, well of course I'm coming back, and of course I'm going to
01:04 beat the timetable, and I'm going to be competitive with what the doctor said to me.
01:08 There's probably not much reason for the Jets, if he was healthy for week 16, it would make
01:14 no sense, really, outside of ticket sales, for Aaron Rodgers to get involved on the field.
01:20 And so, one way or the other, Aaron Rodgers will stay involved in other things.
01:24 For instance, his latest offering, he wants to have a vaccination debate with Travis Kelsey,
01:33 wants to involve JFK Jr. and Dr. Fauci in the big debate.
01:38 And this is the poking fun, no pun intended, this is the needling of, no pun intended,
01:42 Aaron Rodgers.
01:43 I don't think he would really want to do that.
01:45 I think he just likes talking about it.
01:47 I think he likes being talked about.
01:49 And with no football to occupy him right now, he's almost surely bored out of his mind.
01:55 By the way, a mind that he wants you to know is very, very fertile.
01:58 It's a very, very fertile mind.
02:00 But the idea that JFK Jr., who I think is in the middle of maybe getting ready to run
02:04 for president, that he wants to get in a debate with football people about an issue that frankly
02:11 is kind of years and years old now.
02:15 The idea that Travis Kelsey, who's a little busy, and I'm not talking about with his girlfriend,
02:19 Taylor Swift, he's a little busy to want to take off a week so he can prepare for a
02:23 national debate on a subject that he probably doesn't know very much about, really.
02:28 And then of course, there's one more wrinkle and the irony with Aaron Rodgers, who called
02:32 Travis Kelsey Mr. Pfizer.
02:36 You're aware, I know.
02:38 Are you aware who employs Aaron Rodgers?
02:42 The owners of the New York Jets are Johnson & Johnson, the drug company.
02:49 Or maybe they just do baby powder.
02:51 But the last time I looked, it was a drug company.
02:53 So Aaron Rodgers is highly entertaining, frankly, as long as you don't take it too seriously.
02:58 That's my poke.
03:00 That's my needle.
03:01 That's my jab at Aaron Rodgers.
03:03 And to be clear, I think that mushroom herbs are highly powerful.
03:06 So we will see if he will come back from that Achilles tear this season.
