00:00 Okay ladies, we're at the Karnum Uniting Church in Snake Valley.
00:24 What's changed here in the last 10 months or so?
00:27 Yeah, so over the last 10 months we've managed to grow the congregation.
00:32 We're now sitting at 62 members.
00:34 We're really excited about some of the things that we're doing.
00:37 We've implemented some community services that run every quarter with some of the local
00:42 musicians and other artists supporting the church by coming in and running events here
00:48 with us.
00:49 And I believe some of these musicians, you've got jazz gospel and...
00:53 We've had jazz so far.
00:54 We've had soul singer come in.
00:56 We've got for Christmas, we'll have some more local singers doing a carol service on the
01:01 16th of December at 4pm.
01:03 Okay, now you've also got an op shop here and it looks pretty quiet on the outside but
01:09 I think there's a bit of a surprise inside so lead the way.

01:14 Now this supports the church, doesn't it?
01:16 It does, it's the old Sunday school.
01:18 We've turned it into an op shop and so it supports the community by providing somewhere
01:23 for them to come and have a cup of tea and coffee on a Saturday morning from 10 till
01:28 1 and also allows them to purchase essential items and other collectibles and interesting
01:35 things.
01:36 You even sell, you're okay to sell electrical items but there's nowhere else in Snake Valley
01:41 you could buy something like that.
01:42 Absolutely not.
01:43 It's pretty much a general store and that's it?
01:45 The general store in town, yep.
01:47 And then there's no other retail or op shops in town.
01:50 Now there's a pretty unique piece of clothing that caught my eye before.

01:55 We're a bit far from the ocean but being far from the ocean, what do you need?

02:06 I don't think too many other op shops would have one of those.

02:11 Do you know who made it or how it got here?
02:14 We don't, it was donated but it is quite the point of discussion and is available for purchase
02:20 and sale if anyone is interested.

02:24 We're open Saturdays from 10 till 1.
