Amy Martin taste tests the four different flavoured Ginger Nuts which come from different parts of Australia.
Transcript
00:00 Welcome to the great ginger nut taste test.
00:03 Is Brisbane more brittle than Perth?
00:05 Is Canberra got more of a kick?
00:07 We're about to find out.
00:08 At first up, we've got the Brisbane biscuit.
00:11 It's quite a soft biscuit.
00:19 It hasn't got the jaw breakingness as you would expect,
00:25 but it has got a nice subtle ginger flavour
00:30 when it comes to the dunk test though.
00:32 The Brisbane biscuit does not have a lot of integrity.
00:40 It almost falls apart with the tea.
00:44 Onto the Perth one.
00:45 Already we're seeing it's a harder biscuit
00:48 and more crinkly on top.
00:50 (CRUNCHING)
00:53 Certainly harder than the Brisbane one.
01:03 And then the dunk test.
01:08 The Perth biscuit definitely keeps its integrity
01:16 when it comes to the tea.
01:17 Perfect dunking biscuit.
01:20 Onto the Melbournian.
01:21 Not as hard as the Perth one.
01:25 But still a good bite to it.
01:30 Into the dunk test.
01:35 Ooh, this is a good dunking biscuit.
01:40 First it feels a little soft,
01:42 but then it has that snap at the end.
01:45 And finally, we've got the Canberran.
01:47 It's certainly the hardest biscuit
01:53 that we've got here today.
01:54 It's almost hard to bite.
01:55 Yep, definitely a jaw breaker here.
02:04 I think we're gonna need a dunk test for this one.
02:07 (CRUNCHING)
02:10 This is a sweeter option of all four of them.
02:24 And you can even see the sugar in the biscuit.
02:26 Definitely need a tea with this one.
02:34 All ginger biscuits are pretty good.
02:37 But is your home state the winner?
02:40 (CRUNCHING)
02:43 (MUSIC)
