00:00 >> Tough battle there.
00:02 You got some guys hurting in that locker room.
00:03 They really wanted that one.
00:05 And at the end of the day, they made a couple more plays than we made.
00:08 There's some decisions we probably could have made differently with battle to
00:10 the end.
00:11 I thought they showed some resiliency being down 11 and
00:13 then coming back and pulling ahead.
00:14 But tough finish and it's a really good team credit to them.
00:19 They did they created some explosive plays.
00:21 We thought we're gonna be able to take away their quarterbacks tough.
00:23 We were able to get some hits on him, but he still completed passes.
00:26 And they deserve to win with the way they play down the stretch and
00:29 how they finished.
00:31 >> Sorry, Matt.
00:32 >> [INAUDIBLE]
00:36 >> Yeah, we felt that was an opportunity for
00:38 us to get a touchdown.
00:40 A touchdown changes the game.
00:41 And obviously, we're probably not talking about if we get a touchdown.
00:43 That being said, the one before half is one where you really can go back and
00:47 say, let's take that field goal.
00:48 And it's something I'm gonna assess, go evaluate for me.
00:51 And we checked to see if we liked the look.
00:54 We liked the look before we ran the play.
00:56 We had a timeout if we didn't like the look.
00:58 We liked the look and we just didn't execute.
01:01 >> Front middle, Allen.
01:02 >> I felt like Traquez when he came in, when Julio got hurt,
01:06 had a really, did a really good job on D'Ante up until that last drive.
01:10 What, just as far as playing time,
01:12 I'm not sure what gave you the confidence there to rely on him and
01:16 for him to step up like that?
01:17 >> Yeah, we talk about strength in numbers a lot.
01:18 And I thought some guys, there were several guys that stepped up.
01:20 We got banged up a little bit there throughout the game.
01:23 And we had guys that had to come in with limited reps and go out there and
01:27 perform, and Traquez is one of them that fought and battled till the very end.
01:30 >> Front middle, James.
01:31 >> And two, 11 to go, a blight over at Nance.
01:34 What was the thought process and why ultimately choose to go?
01:37 >> Yeah, we felt like our defense was playing well.
01:39 And we felt like we had an offensive play that was gonna be successful.
01:42 They covered it well.
01:43 But at that point, they'd proven to be an explosive offense regardless of where they
01:47 get the ball, right, whether it's going to length.
01:49 Obviously, they went there twice in 33 seconds.
01:53 They were able to score, gave ourselves the ball back with plenty of time to go
01:56 score again.
01:56 We know that that honey hole for us is really a minute 40 seconds to a minute 20.
02:00 We got it back with an opportunity to go score, kinda in that window.
02:04 But that being said, it didn't work.
02:06 So obviously, it'll be second guessed.
02:08 >> Back middle, Zach.
02:10 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:20 >> Yeah, Bo's just a warrior.
02:22 The guy's a warrior.
02:23 I mean, he battles every single time we step on the field.
02:25 I thought he battled today.
02:26 I thought he made some elite plays.
02:28 At times, he did some things with his legs that he hasn't had to do this season.
02:32 He did really well.
02:33 Really proud of his performance.
02:35 I know there's a couple plays that he wants to have back.
02:37 But I'll go to war with that guy any day.
02:39 >> Front right, Ashley.
02:40 >> After they scored early in the second half to go up 11,
02:43 you shut them out until that final drive they had.
02:46 So what were some of the things you maybe changed defensively at halftime that
02:50 allowed you to shut them down for the most part in the second half?
02:52 >> Yeah, we just talked through some adjustments that we weren't
02:54 executing properly.
02:56 We made a couple different calls.
02:58 Ultimately, they were connected on some quick passing game.
03:01 They were able to take advantage of us in some of the run game.
03:03 We changed some of our fits there at halftime, and
03:06 we're able to handle them a little bit better with those adjustments.
03:09 And just didn't finish it off there at the end.
03:12 >> In the middle, Bill.
03:13 >> Dan, philosophically, obviously, you've seen yourself work down a ton of times
03:18 since you've been here, and it's worked a lot.
03:20 But there's been some really high visibility situations where it hasn't
03:23 been a flash here on this one.
03:25 What is it about you as a coach that you wanna go for those?
03:28 You wanna go kind of make a split objective around those plays?
03:31 And then when there are games like this where it doesn't work,
03:34 does that make you rethink your overall philosophy?
03:37 Does that help?
03:38 >> Yeah, I think I'll always go back and evaluate myself, right?
03:42 And say, okay, what can I do different?
03:44 That being said, from a probability standpoint,
03:47 how we felt about the looks that we were getting.
03:48 We felt like we had a chance to have success in both situations, really,
03:52 or all the situations today where we went forward and forth.
03:54 We had an opportunity to call timeout if we didn't like what we saw.
03:57 There was some confusion on the last play that was handed off.
04:01 We actually had a check that didn't get checked or executed properly.
04:05 So didn't get that mastered.
04:07 But I'll certainly go back and evaluate myself.
04:09 And it's about adapting.
04:11 The game's about adapting and figuring out where you can be better.
04:13 You take one of those field goals early on, right?
04:15 And we are looking at probably a little bit different situation.
04:19 >> In the middle there.
04:20 >> What's your conversation with Camden right now?
04:22 [INAUDIBLE]
04:24 >> Yeah, Camden's a winner, right?
04:26 I trust Camden.
04:27 I love Camden.
04:27 That game never should have came down to that, right?
04:29 It shouldn't have came down to that.
04:30 And ultimately, that happens.
04:33 It's a high pressure situation.
04:34 It's tough on a kicker, but he should not wear the blame on this.
04:37 Certainly he has a job to do when he steps on the field.
04:39 We've all seen Camden make that kick a million times, right?
04:42 He didn't make it today.
04:43 But again, a good team, and if we do the things that we can do,
04:47 we might get an opportunity to face those guys again.
04:49 >> In the back, Matt.
04:50 >> Yeah, just the whole team.
04:52 Emotional game, a big game.
04:53 You had another talk with the public.
04:55 It's just the psyche of the team right now.
04:58 It works in professional sport.
04:59 >> Yeah, our guys are hungry to get out there and get to go perform again.
05:02 And we're gonna be playing a lot of top 25 opponents the rest of the season, right?
05:06 And it's a great thing about this schedule that we have.
05:09 We got tested.
05:10 I think we're gonna learn a lot of things about our team throughout this week.
05:12 I think we have phenomenal leadership on this team.
05:14 We have guys that aren't gonna quit.
05:15 They're gonna come to work, and we're gonna go attack it.
