00:00 Is there something said in the huddle when teams get down there or is it just kind of
00:04 unspoken about, alright we've been in this spot before, we know how to get out of this
00:08 spot, we're going to get some freedom in there or maybe get something to throw about.
00:12 Yeah getting in the red zone doesn't equal points.
00:15 We get down there, our mentality is they're not crossing the paint.
00:20 They're going to get three points or we're going to get a turnover.
00:23 They get a big play, they get an explosive, they're down inside the red zone, nobody bats
00:27 an eye, we just keep going.
00:31 Your sack, Trey had had a sack on that second to last drive and then you had one on fourth
00:36 down.
00:37 Yeah, no he started it off, got the momentum building for us with the big sack and then
00:42 we just kept grinding, we kept going.
00:46 Playing as a defense and feeding off each other's energy.
00:52 Did you feel like based off of the way you guys started this season, we talked to you
00:56 after Tennessee, you seemed pretty adamant that you guys need to start playing better.
01:00 Did you feel like winning this way and really being able to carry the offense was something
01:04 that you guys needed as a defense from a confidence standpoint?
01:07 No I don't think anyone on the defense lacks confidence but I do think that there will
01:11 be a time when we're not playing our best and the offense lifts us up and today was
01:16 us doing our part to lift them up and that's this team and complimentary football and that's
01:22 why I love being on this team.
01:24 How do you guys make those plays, train you, get the ball back to the offense?
01:28 It's a 15 second position, you got to go out there again.
01:31 What's going through your mind as a defense when you guys go back out there?
01:34 Let's get another one.
01:35 I was like I'm getting another sack, we're ready to go no matter how much gas you think
01:43 you got in the tank, you got enough to finish the game.
01:48 You always find that extra bit and that's why we got such a great D-line and such a
01:52 great defense, nobody is going to tap out ever if we had to play three more series or
01:57 whatever it was.
01:58 Is there something that you saw as you guys were getting so much pressure down there,
02:02 it was like every play you guys were in, is there something you saw that you felt like
02:06 you had them to the line, everybody you had them kind of knowing that you guys were going
02:11 to be beating them pretty consistently, did you see something in them?
02:15 I think that the crowd, home crowd did a great job making them go on the silent count and
02:20 let us get a good jump on the snap.
02:23 Coach Hobby helping me with my pass rush plan throughout the week of preparation the last
02:27 few weeks has really helped me know when to do what in the big moments of the game because
02:33 you've been setting it up all game.
02:35 Shout out to Coach Hobby for helping me progress as a rusher and then just the whole defensive
02:41 front working together, rushing together.
02:43 Were there any specific plays that you made that was one that you had been setting up
02:47 all game?
02:48 Is there one that stands out to you that you set up that played off for you?
02:52 Yeah, I mean the fourth down, I don't want to talk too much about my pass rush plan but
02:58 you just consistently get off the rock and throw power and the biggest moment of the
03:02 game you hit them with the swipe and they're not expecting it and you win the game and
03:07 that's, you know, can't draw it up any better than that.
03:10 You had two fourth down rushes, were they the same?
03:15 Yeah, BJ and I worked really well together calling a tech stunt, a TE stunt and he called
03:22 it.
03:23 I said, "No, I can beat this guy."
03:26 He said, "Trust me, I'm going to get there."
03:28 So we ran the stunt that we've been running together for years and I sold it, he made
03:33 it through and we both got the hit.
03:35 He got the ball, I won the game.
03:36 Talk about trust, the game's in the line.
03:38 This is it, one play for the game.
03:41 He talked into it.
03:42 Yeah, I mean we've been playing together a long time.
03:46 Defense line goes out to dinner together once a week.
03:48 We form that relationship with each other off the field and in moments like that you
03:52 trust each other because, you know, your relationship you built with each other.
03:56 Obviously the year didn't start out the way you guys wanted but you've won two in a row
04:00 now, three of four.
04:01 You're three and three entering the bye.
04:02 How big was this one?
04:03 It was big, you know.
04:04 It would have been a long two weeks without this win.
04:07 We really wanted this one.
04:10 We won 500 into the bye, we got a big challenge after the bye so it's about just getting healthy
04:14 and preparing for this huge challenge we have right after the bye.
