00:00 The foreign trips of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. resulted in additional investments.

00:06 According to the Department of Trade and Industry,

00:08 the President's investments from his trips abroad were not just completed with pledges.

00:16 According to the DTI Board of Investment,

00:19 the investment approval reached P734 billion from January to September this year.

00:27 This is 102% higher than the same period in 2022.

00:33 Meanwhile, 2.8% of personal remittance from overseas Filipinos increased in August.

00:43 According to the Bank of the Central Philippines,

00:45 the personal remittance in August was P3.1 billion,

00:50 or more than P3.02 billion in August 2022.

00:55 According to the BSP, this resulted in more money being sent by land-based and sea-based overseas workers.

01:03 Because of this, the remittance of OFWs increased by P24.01 billion in the first eight months

01:10 compared to P23.34 billion last year.

01:15 Most of the money sent by Filipinos came from America, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia.
